And you say that story about dead Aquaman, Indians four millenium ago, ripping out hearts to protect them from decaying and whatever else happens is awesome, then Im impressed, becouse this sounds really lame.
I know I make fun of it a bit, but it seriously is a good book and I highly recommend it, with clever twists and turns, good humor, and the kind of big action you'd want from the JLA.
You cheated, you posted 10 panels.
Kickass that you like it Lewis. Joe Kelly is one of my favorite writers, right up there with Alan Moore and Warren Ellis, and stuff like his runs on JLA and Action Comics prove why. Seriously, the guy's a bloody genius.

But Double L, the whole thing about
Columbus calling Native Americans Indians? A popular myth.
The source of this story is Washington Irving and his "History of the life of Christopher Columbus", an account that is now regarded as being well written and entertaining, but full of historical errors.
It also happened to be the same book that popularized the myth that during the medieval period, people thought the world was flat and that it was Columbus who proved otherwise.
Take away message?
1. Columbus knew damn well that he was nowhere near India.
2. Everybody knew the world was round since long before Chris's time.
3. AQUAMAN IS AWESOME.
Fair enough, though still, the Ancients calling him an Indian a few thousand years in the past still raises an eyebrow. ^_~
Obsidian Age IS awesome. It's the awesomest JLA arc since Grant Morrison left the book.

Just to further pound home the whole "Indian" thing. Most American Indians I've met prefer the term Indian for a few reasons:
1. It wasn't coined by the government for PR purposes.
2. Many of them argue that Columbus wasn't confusing America with India, namely because it wasn't called India by most people at that point in time (Hindustan ftw!).
3. They think it might have come from Columbus's journals which referred to them as being "en dio" which means "In God".
4. You have to admit that Indian is sufficiently more badass sounding than Native American.
Hrmmm. I'll have to check this one out.
I didn't much care for "The Obsidian Age"'s story, but I thought the art was awesome and I loved the Ancients.
I actually have not such a great idea about all those DC and Marvel Heroes (yeah, Germany sucks kinda in that way), but I really enjoy how you rip them apart with your "5 Panel"-Shorts and critics. Hope to see more from you and learn more about the importance of comics ;)
Watching the 5-panel version, I realise I've got these comics.
It's just, the original run in JLA, not as a trade, so I didn't recognise them.
