To Boldly Flee, Part 4

A young, aspiring athlete is granted an incredible gift (and curse) by his father after a science experiment mutilates most of his body!

  1. That was very, very good.

  2. Darn! When The Critic started using the strength gloves, I was hoping that he would say his verison of "I AM A MAN"!

  3. This was really good. I liked the Critic's Judge Dredd scenes.

Who is the masked robot like person. Is it someone from another reviewers story, or is it a totally new character?

  4. I have to say I love the way you guys basically deconstructed beaming from place to place. Well, perhaps not deconstructed, but definitely exploited a great deal.

  5. When are you(Linkara) going to show up in the movie again?

And on the same subject, you as a person are in this event very little compared to the other anniversaries. Why is that?

Also, this is my favorite part so far(save for the Phelous stabbing scene which went on for FFFAAARRRRRRR too long).

  6. This was probably the best of the special so far. I had to pause this so many times just so I didn't miss anything from laughing too hard (especially at Benzaie and the teleporting gag)

  7. Well now we have a good explanation for all of Phelous' resurrections. That's good. Also, how can you (Linkara) have been out of action for so long? Are you just biding your time for a heroic entrance? Then again, with your ego it IS a distinct possibility... Anyway great job to everyone involved.

  8. Was the description a reference to Cyborg?

  9. Is the whole red shirt thing the reason Mecha-Kara is wearing that flannel shirt?

  10. I'm assuming that since each part runs about 20 minutes (except the first part that is 40 minutes long), we're looking at a 3-hour plus motion picture.

It's very unbelievable considering it must've took more than 4 days to film from a massive script. Not to mention a few months to edit the entire piece. All I can say is that all the extra, extra effort is already paying off.

BTW, not gonna try to guess here anymore. Sticking with Brad's!

It's Gort from "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Or at least, it's dressed like him. No idea who's under the mask yet.

  12. This part was hilarious. Might have dipped a bit into Family Guy's recent trend of making a gag go on longer than it should have, Phelous getting stabbed, but I don't think that was a problem.

  13. I really liked this part. A lot of it was action but fun. Critic as Judge Dredd 4th Anniversary photo finally makes sense. The whole teleporting sequence had my sides spliting. Can't wait for tuesday to see what happens with the snob.

  14. The critic really can't aim. Still good though.

  15. It lacks the quiet beauty of the Luke/Brad scene, but there aren't any rape jokes, so that more than balances out.

The first big action sequence of the film, and it's a winner. A bit Critic-centric, unfortunately, but still really cool (and MarzGurl proved she still has her Drill Sergeant chops!)

The Phelous death scene was a neat reference to Austin Powers, but it did drag out a bit too long.

Also, naked Benzaie makes everything better. It's too bad he couldn't be there, though Panda is keeping up the French end.

  16. Awesome part was awesome. Good to see Benzai show up. Marzgurl was awesome in this, Joe was hilarious as always. Action was cool. The whole part was excellent.

    Few questions.

1: Will Linkara free himself and help the group? Or is it just Mechakara or the whole story?

2: Was that Europa Critic was fighting on or some field on Earth?

3: Will you be doing a commentary on this? Either by yourself or with other cast members.

  17. It's a good thing that Zod hasn't had a chance to read Action Comics 12 of the new 52. They would have probably died had he relished that Kryptonians have a super reading power (tSuperman read and understood a whole library of advanced medical textbooks in ten minutes)

  18. At 0:30 Turll indicates they have their shields down.
    - Turrell minion: They still haven't raised their shields sir.
    - Turrell: Of course!, we are one big happy homeowners association.
However, at 2:11 Marzgurl indicates their shields are up.
    - Marzgurl: If we gave them the sugar we'll have to lower our shields.

The ammount of TrekReferences in this is overloading my nerd organs.

    Oh.... I'm such a nerd....

  19. Huh, weird... Isn't Corporate Commander from the Angry Joe Show supposed to show up at some point? As well as Oancitizen?

  20. Well this one was interesting.
I did enjoy that I got to see Phelous die a lot. Only issue is ya'll couldn't get like a zip-lock bag with red dye and corn syrup to stab for a realistic effect? It's just always bothered me in anything to see some how the weapon used to stab or bludgeon some one repeatably being completely clean.
What was the Judge Dredd helmet made from it looked to be 2 sizes too big for his head!
Did like the episode! But so far if my math is correct the movie is already over 2 hours nearly!?

You need more screen time! XP

  21. So, I have a question about MetaCon (since I don't have a Twitter): You had said on your initial post about it that there would be some former Power Rangers actors there. Who was there, and did you get to meet any of them?

  22. I feel bad for General Zod, he has to deal with an idiot such as Turrel right now...and I must say, Critic as Judge Dredd...nice touch, probably a coincidence with the Dredd remake coming out soon but still...Doug is a better Dredd then the remake Dredd, I swear the new Dredd just whispers his lines from the movie trailers alone!

  23. You would think that General Zod would react much stronger to Angry Joe considering he has the son of Jor-El's logo on his chest.

  24. Em I the only one who's bothered by the fact that the relationship between Lupa and Phaelous wasn't brought up a single time in this video?
Especially considering the whole NCh/Todd/Lupa triangle?

I mean, Phaelous and Lupa brought it up several times in-character during their reviews!

Not really... ^^; They've always been pretty jokey about it in their reviews.
