  2. This actually sounds like an interesting read. I heard about it a while ago, but never got around to reading it. Oh well, that's why I have you, Linkara :)

  3. My brain doesn't seem to want to work today-what's that music playing in the background? I know I know it, but for the life of me I cannot think of what it's called!

  4. A good Doug Moench comic on the site. Will wonders never cease?

  5. Was the use of Swan Lake which was used in the Bela Lugosi Dracula movie intentional or was meant to be subtle.

Intentional. I pretty much use it for any Longbox featuring Dracula.

  7. Funny you uploaded this particular comic today because tonight is a Svengoolie screening of the 1931 Dracula on ME-TV.

This comic in particular, I want to read it. Sounds very cool to me. :)

What about the Hammer Dracula theme? It has more grandeur! I'm just saying a little change of pace doesn't hurt!

  10. I had almost forgotten about crimson mist till I found a book mark advertisement for it today lying around. I got to find this one and my copy of the second one. I don't remember if I have third but first two were good.

  11. I read the "Batman/Dracula" trilogy. Red Rain is a really good story. Bloodstorm is a major step down, but still pretty good over-all. Crimson Mist is so horribly bad that it really should be considered for a future AT4W review.

  12. So what ever happened to "Doug Moench, YOU ARE A HACK!"

It's like he's done some crap (SCI-Spy, Act of God, Catwoman: GOG) and some real good (mainstream Batmaan stuff like being one of Knightfall's writers, Batman: Prey, and some Marvel stuff like their Godzilla comic).

    Whodathunk?

  13. Anon, you forgot Master of Kung Fu. Other than Batman, that's probably Moench's biggest claim to fame.

  14. This was damn interesting, and of the main DC super heroes, Batman is one I'd think would be just fine giving up a little of his humanity to fight crime. Certain episodes of the animated series not withstanding.

Also, is anyone else having issues with blip not playing the ending ad??

  15. Goddamn. I know this one is with specific linkage to Dracula, but I've gotta say that the Longbox episodes are just packed with gorgeous scores; it just puts me in the mood to be classically spooky.

  16. Well, I certainly hope Vampire Batman does become evil, considering his final fate is one no good person deserves: a role in Countdown.

  17. Batman as a vampire?

Oh well, I was always of the opinion that he needs a little upgrade, seeing how he lives in a world full of DEMIGODS, with his immense popularity keeping DC from changing him too much to better fit into the whole thing.
