Isn't it odd to run into a house in space that's the size of a space station only to find normal proportions on the inside? I hope Spock commented on that.
"I'm a bit surprised that, what I assume are, scary Klingon monsters look so conventionally scary. They are the species that's afraid of tribbles."
They're not AFRAID of Tribbles - they just hate them. Tribbles are afraid of Klingons - while normally tribbles coo and are cute and calm, whenever a Klingon is near they start screeching like crazy.
I bought issue #4 when it came out, but didn't actually get a chance to read #5 until ten years later, when I finally located a copy. I remember issue #4 vividly, including the cliffhanger ending, but can only barely remember #5. Why is that? Well, apart from seeing the first issue through the eyes of a 10 year old, as the video showed, the set up in issue #4 was way better than the payoff in issue #5.
At first, I was reluctant to watch this ,but when CR actually made a small reference at the the end of his Top 13 Halloween Specials video it kindled my curiousity.
And though I didn't think this was as weird as something like Killdozer or MonsterMen, I was kind of weirded out by that giant haunted house in space that turned out not to be real via Multimodo Reflection Sorting.
Personally, I always thought "Wolf in the Fold" was a vastly superior Halloween episode. But then, I always preferred the creepy, chilling scary of Hitchcock to the monster-laden type, anyway...

They aren't afraid of them individually but they are regarded as a threat to the empire, because of their ability to pretty much eat up an entire planet without predators to keep them in check.

ReplyDeleteThis seems like a fun if silly comic book tale.
a house that is a space ship like that could ever happen.
ReplyDeleteI love the irony of the first story, the alien that looks like a mosquito gets bite by Dracula.

ReplyDeleteWhoa, I didn't think anything from Star Trek took on Horror, let alone do it straight despite the Sci-Fi setting.
