  1. No Riolu?? damn.
But goodness the sheer sound of joy you had when bulbasaur showed up was just great.

Now onward to getting caught up with pokemon. lol Then digimon, and maybe yugioh somewhere down the road, unless persona or the tales series gets involved then there are no guarantees. lol

  2. Ah more episodes of your Lets play. I really like them. I play the game myself though the Zeta version and i´m pretty far into the game. Yes it really seems like the beta has around 60 hours of content. Also there are a lot of refences to Pokemon in general or other media which is really fun.

I hope i can see one of your lets plays live.

  5. No Lewis, N is not sympathetic. N is an overrated wobbie character who everyone thinks is deep and insightful when really he's a hypocrite who say's he wants to befriend Zekrom when in reality he just wants it power to force his beliefs on everyone else.

Bottom line N is an idiot.

He's sympathetic because his beliefs are understandable.

Bear in mind that N was raised FROM BIRTH with the goal of brainwashing him into believing Pokémon are mistreated by humans. He was locked away in a room with limited human contact and brought only Pokémon that were being worked to death by Ghetsis' forces and told "this is what happens to Pokémon!" And when you're only presented one viewpoint over and over, you start to believe that viewpoint. He's as much a victim as anyone else and he can't see that there is more to the world than the two black and white viewpoints. He's certainly an idiot in other areas, but ultimately he does change for the better when the protagonist shows him that he had been wrong.

And even then, I didn't say he was deep or insightful - I said he was sympathetic.

  7. I know it's probably too late, but the ending to this made me want to suggest naming the Beedrill line Nick Fury if you catch it. X3

Finding this Let's Play quite hilarious so far, and I quite like the added illustrations to personalise Lil Petti and other Pokémon. That and your commentary makes this more than worth the watch. ^_^

Also: Eep, a phantom Shinx! And someone who watches Two and a Half Men, even scarier! O_O

  8. I don't care what anybody says! Your Fat Grandma is far funnier than Tyler Perry's Madea!

  9. B&W2 also makes N even more sympathetic where he's heroic.

So, Linkara, would you say you liked Pokemon Black and White because the morality of Team Plasma wasn't so ... Black and White?

  10. Hey, Lewis, Thanks for introducing me to this game, not only I've been enjoying your Let's Play, I downloaded the game and I'm having a blast playing it! :)

One thing, though: doesn't your version have the Mystery Gift option? Mine does, and in it I found several things including an Amulet Coin and a free Pokémon (Hawlucha.) Get them if you can, they're very useful!

As for the story, no spoilers but from what I've seen so far, it gets very intense later on! :)

  11. Hey Lewis, thanks for the Let's Play! I downloaded the game too and I'm having a blast!

But doesn't your version have the Mystery Gift option (in the Menu?) I found several useful items in it, including a Hawlucha.

  12. You need a fire type Pokemon Lewis.Hope you can find one before too far in. It'll be awesome if you lucked out and found a Charmander like you did Bubba.

  13. Many congrats for the Bulbasaur!!

I think when this game says "Dolly" it means a dolly cart which is used to haul big rocks, but it's just so funny to think of it the other way.

I agree but I prefer to say: "Your Fat Grandma pawns Tyler perry's madea!" lol

Now back to introducing the nephews to pokemon and classic Dr. Who.

  15. The game looks interesting, but it seems like the biggest weakness is the story. As you point out, your town is being attacked by terrorists but you have to wander around in caves and fight gym leaders. They seem to have just forgotten about that threat and if they had just cut out the intro part, nothing would have been lost. Heck, Oak's lab even had three Pokémon on the table, so why did you need an "emergency Pokémon"?

And yeah, the whole thing with Hypno getting HM04 is just bizarre. I can only imagine what she did to the poor guy's sanity. Too bad you didn't go check up on him to see what he had to say after that experience.

  16. Hey, can you double check which version of the game you're running (should be listed on your trainer card) so we can report that bug about the double trainer battle?

It's also probably worth patching, the game's been having a new bug fix patch every few days, so even if you had the latest version when this started you won't now.

    thanks.

  17. I don't see Cyrus motivation as stupid. He was emotionally abused as a child and lack any positive emotional interactions with other people . This made him view emotions themselves as the source of all evil and because of this he tried recreate the universe so that emotions/evil would no longer exist. Cyrus thought he was doing the right thing the entire time and his motivation is a lot better than just trying to become a god.

  18. Wait, there are Pokémon players that won't call me an idiot if I don't use an HM slave?
