The Twilight Zone #9

A dimension not of sight or sound but of mind. A really stupid mind.

In my endless attempts to get you reading British comics 2000AD is an anthology comic, consisting of four or five stories per issue. While most are immense multipart series with recognisable characters there are Tharg's Twisted Tales, Future Shocks, Time Twisters, and any number of other one off five or six page long stories. Those are often done as collections that are out there. You really should try to look for one. I'd suggest Alan Moore's collection as a launching off point.

Annnyway on to the Twilight Zone. What the funk was that? A good horror comic (especially this type of one) doesn't have to explain everything, in fact as you pointed out it is often better when they don't, but it does have to make sense. At least what we see does. Even if it's just the sequential art work and the character motivations. Often those are the only things the reader can rely on as an anchor to make sense of the rest

From what I got the girl was abused, beaten forced in to a degrading life she hated. The two jerks were the last straw and 3D section was supposed to be the girl entering a limbo dimension of sorts, somewhere between here and hell. Returning was her rebirth into a new life, but keeping that which she liked. On the other hand I'm not sure how I got that from the comic. If I wasn't used to filling in the gaps and plot holes I see with any old crap in my imagination.

These sort of stories work better if they're short, direct and to the point. Not the padding and confused pacing here. If the writer had done a Tree House of Horror sort of thing, or three smaller stories centred around the Carnival with different people at the same time, this would have been worthy of the Twilight Zone moniker. As it is its a confused dull mess.

Meanwhile The Entity as taken / deleted / killed / whatever a BILLION people. Alright then, you've really grasped the concept of epic scale haven't you (maybe that's what really happened to Apollo and Goggles (Kirsty Diggs)?) Only now are you taking this seriously. The negation of Poyo's very existence wasn't for nothing then.

Despite only being around for about 12 seconds I rather liked Boffo.

Also, if you weren't giving us your'e usually summing up of the comic I'm not sure I'd have any idea of what was going on for the 3d part.

And I really need to get around to seeing some Twilight Zone one of these days!

Anonymous said...

Well. That was interesting. Nice to see you've noticed what the Entity's been up to.

Also: You really enjoy screwing around with the Tempting Fate trope, don't you?

oh god, not pollo too!

I totally agree with you on clowns, linkara. they get too much of a bad rep for no reason.

Ugh... The Entity's voice is so creepy.

surprised you didn't us the kevin smith cameo in the death of superman animated movie for the giant mechanical spider part.

Aw, crap, Pollo's gone now too? We're screwed, aren't we...

Being from Rod Serling's hometown, let me just say: very nice Serling impression.

JLH said...

Boffo is the most pornographic name for a clown I've ever heard. I was actually thinking, when seeing Rod Serlinkara, that "It would be funny if he was suddenly taken by the Entity already". Ehh, close enough. Here's hoping the characters the Entity swiped aren't dead.

As for why the hologram on the cover was so small, that was standard in the early 90s. I don't know if it was the limitations of the gimmick, or the cheapness of the comic companies, but that was how they did it. Eventually they could do full cover holograms, but by then the gimmicks lost their appeal as collector's items.

What if Squinty became good due to the fact that the one armed man controls people's minds in order for it to be such a paradise. That might've been a cool story. I'm not suggesting that's what they were going for. I know better than that. I wish people would take the time to fix their glaring plot holes, in the process making better stories.

Now comics is weird. If they're the ones I'm thinking of I have TZ issue 1 and there's an ad on the back for a Married With Children Comic. There's also a letter from the editor asking readers what other TV shows they'd like to see adapted into comics, as if the rights would be easy to obtain.

Your story about a billion people disappearing is super intriguing. Two questions/concerns. Why is the media and government noticing this now. I know you explained why they hadn't noticed yet, but what changed?

Also, Linkara forgetting about Poyo temporarily while studying the energy things, I have a problem with that. You seem like too caring a person. I thought you must be studying the signature so intently BECAUSE Poyo was missing, not that you forgot.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

"I'm not that thin."

...Welp, guess it isn't Slenderman after all. Not that that's in any way comforting at this point. ;___;

Still, can't be too upset about getting further clues. Even if the little bot most suited to putting them to use is gone...also, nice of you to finally notice Harvey disappeared. Two months later. xD

Came for a Golden Earring reference. Leaving disappointed. Epic stinger though, can't wait to see what this ultimately builds to. Keep it up!

Radar said...

No Fugitive jokes Linkara? "One-armed man?"

Not Pollo!

Anonymous said...

Not that thin... so we're not dealing with Slenderman here. Personally, I like the "Entity is MissingNo" theory a few people have suggested. For all we know, Harvey recognized it because he was playing Pokemon on the DS. Still not sure how to account for the "bones from hell" line though.

Also, let me call it now: Comicron 1 is going down in some fashion, and the Vigilant will be needed to escape.

Speculation is fun :D

A Twilight Zone comic, huh? I've always been interested in the Twilight Zone, but I've never gotten the chance to watch it. Too bad this comic was a stinker. But man, the Entity's just creeping in closer. It got Boffo and even...Pollo...
WHYYY?! Why, Pollo?! I loveded you, Pollo!! I loveded YOOOOOOU!!

Good review; Twilight Zone is pretty cool, so I thought it would be relatively hard to screw it up. Guess I was wrong >.>;

ALso, on a side note, I've just finished some notes from my Echelich class and I came across something interesting... The Parasite God of Fear. Feeding on the fears of the Unknown and the Unusual, they Duo of Fright work in three distinct phases, usually at random, upon choosing a victim to engorge upon. First, they remove all persons that can reassure the victim. Next, the victim is isolated. And third, the victim is put in a hallucinogenic state of fear that the Duo can then siphon out of said victim.

There are similarities with the Entity, but I think I can confirm that while similar, The Entity is NOT one of the Parasite Gods. I was so sure, too... And my professor hasn't heard of any kind of ethereal beings that have the side effect of altering the medium of reviews, either.

The joke about the clown was very funny, I laughed out loud at it.

I also like where you are taking the story with the Entity by taking two major characters out of the show. Can't wait to see what happens next!

TimeTravelerJessica said...

Pollo! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Also, poor Clown. We barely knew him. :(

Gamein said...

Great episode, the comic was entertaining and you're really building up this storyline.

Hmm, a piece of the world missing, people vanishing, Linkara's lack of interest in strange noises or events, a noticeable increase in weight related jokes and comments (especially with the cryptic "im not that thin" line)...makes me suspicious of our hat-wearing friend personally. I'm curious if this will go in the direction I think it's going.

June said...

I like how you didn't try to totally ham up your Rod Serling. So often when he's homaged and parodied they play up the sort of melo-dramticness of his intros but here you did a grea homage without trying to make fun of him at the same time. :) At least... your initial impression of him. :P

I understand a lot of the Twilight Zone is based on mystery and not figuring things out right until the end. And There was a lot of ambiguity left in many episodes too. It's good to leave your audience asking questions. But I see how this comic leaves a few too many questions. Overall a really great review. It was fun and funny.

Yay, more entity plot stuff!!! But only a little morsel! Can't wait to see what happens next.

KKDW said...

As I said in my previous comment, I rather liked Boffo. In fact I think for somone who was only present for 12 seconds (and considering all he really did was stand there, look dignified, wave, and honk a horn) he made quite an impression.

And I've just thought of one possible reason for that, basically it involves his outfit. Silly wig and nose aside it's really not the sort of outfit you'd expect a clown to be wearing. Normally you'd expect a clown to be wearing something made up of multiple colours (something like the 6th Doctor's coat), while his outfit consisted mostly of one colour which would make him stand out from a standard clown. Further, the non-clownness of the outfit makes the nose and wig stand out more whereas on your standard clown they'd probably just blend into the mish mash of colours that make up the rest of the outfit.

Man I can't believe I was able to come up with that much analysis for someone who was only around for 12 seconds, so I hope that once the Entity is defeated everyone who it took comes back alive including Boffo.

The_Library_Mailman said...

FINALLY! I was starting to get worried that you weren't going to notice all your characters being abducted.

I also subscribe to the "Entinty is MissingNo" theory I've seen on here, as it fits both the fact that Harvey was playing Nintendo when he disappeared, the strange "glitches" that have slowly been happening in the videos, and the tricorder readings showing that its parcticles change in mass and density at an alarming rate.

However, I ALSO have a theory that 90's Kid is in on it, as he always seems to show up right after someone disappears. Plus, MissingNo was in Pokemon Red and Blue, which came out.....In The 90's!

I also believe that, as he predicted, Linkara will end up having to go crawling back to Lord Vyce for help, as he's the only one who's knows of and has fought the Entity before.

I've never been a big Twilight Zone fan, but even I can tell that this comic sucked! However, what you might have missed is that I think, when running through the funhouse, the idea is that when the girl ran through, it was normal funhouse stuff, but when the rednecks ran through, everything turned all evil and supernatural in order to protect her.

Either way, Great video Linkara! Keep up the great work!

The_Library_Mailman said...

Oh, also, Boffo is a great character! I hope he sticks around after all this entity business is dealt with!

FugueforFrog said...

Well once this whole Entity mess is over with, Ninja-Style Dancer and the clown I'm sure will be good friends. It does make one wonder how October's going to go with the cast of the show being reduced to near-nothing.

As for the comic...yeah, I think the whole purpose of the issue was that 3-D mess, and even then it's just people being chased and giant robot spiders with lasers. That in itself makes the comic. BTW: you need to do a whole episode in B&W, either the next Twilight Zone episode or maybe something akin to a film-noir arc. Would be neat after how well it was at the start this time.

AlmightyElemental said...

Ok, so, given the clues in the credits, the location of those who have disappeared (including the clown), the mechanical sounding laugh and Linkara's background, I'm going to say that "The Entity" is either somehow related to the Morphing Grid.

Notice that everyone who disappeared was either near the ranger helmets (which Linkara has used) or Linkara himself (who was the one morphing).

I think The Entity is the Morphing Grid but I can't figure out a motive. I'm probably horribly wrong but I wanted to say something.

Way to show love for "The Obsolete Man", my favorite episode of the show...that no one ever seems to remember. ;_;

Kidnapping Pollo seems to be a change-up from the Entity's MO; now it's taking non-humans.

Um... 90's Kid seems to show up right BEFORE someone disappears, not after. Other than that, interesting theory, and one that also seems to be pretty common.

I really hate anything with 3D. Forget it hurting people's eyes. I'd be lucky if what I got out of it was a migraine. I don't hate it because it's a novelty. I hate it because it's a novelty that I can't perceive.

Aside from that, great review. They couldn't mess up Twilight Zone if...oh wait NOW I get your "werewolf" joke. Hahaha, nice one!.

Sage Saria said...

I honestly would not have called that. If anything, I thought 90s Kid or even Lt. Munro would be next.

Though, kind of silly of you to point out that the attacks happen when the victim is alone and then send Pollo out alone, Linkara.

Yeah, Twilight Zone just hasn't been the same without Rod Serling. Your impression of him is amazing.

Incidentally, I remember another Twilight Zone episode that featured a carnival/theme park/fair (Not exactly the same thing, but same atmosphere invoked). "In Praise of Pip," one of my personal favorites, features such an occurrence, if you haven't already seen it. Also, Obsolete Man is one of my favorite episodes as well, and I actually ended up writing an essay on Twilight Zone's impact on American Culture using that episode.

Also, very well done with the Entity storyline thus far! Just gotta love extra-dimensional monstrosities as plot devices. :D

This was a great review as always Linkara.

Pollo is gone too! Who will the entity strike next? It could be Ironliz...or 90's kid! 90's kid is the next target! Quick, get to the underground shelter and get the triple barreled chain gun! I know that weapon is completely absurd and would probably never work in real life...but I believe in you 90's kid!

Paul Kinter said...

Doesn't Liz and 90s kid being with Linkara when Pollo was abducted eliminate them as suspects? I know I read theories for both of them on TV tropes.

NOOO!!! NOT BUFFO!!!!

Wow that was the worst creepy evil(good) Carnival/Haunted Funhouse story I've ever seen!
I'm surprised there were no Carnevil or Carnivale(the old HBO series) referinces from you!
I liked the other anthology series from the guy that created the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery and it'd translated into a comic series more easily as it sort of starts out with coverart in the form of a painting.

"Giant robot spiders with freaking laser beams attached to thier heads... this is some good stuff!" takes a toke!

This story arc the way it's going sound like a cool idea for a TV series. If you had more characters or knew more actors it's be cool to see you have a secondary antagonist in the form of mislead people that believe the Entity and the disapearing people are part of the Rapture!

My fave Twilight episodes are the one with the evil doll, the pigfaced people, the glasses guy, that one with the kid with god like powers, and the aliens that keep humans in a zoo!

BooRat said...

"oh, and I am really sorry I was about to rape and murder you back in that alley way!"

PS: I think in that alley scene I think the one armed man like Magneto-ed the chain out of the dude's hand, but the art and pannel setup showed it very poorly!

BooRat said...

Maybe on his next Miller Time episode he can do one of the not too popular Sin City mini-stories. Like the one with Miho on rollerblades with a paperbag over her head.

I gotta start watching some classic Twilight Zone. They're already out on Blu-Ray with better looking picture than the older VHS and DVD releases. My only memory of that show believe it or not is the Tower of Terror ride at Walt Disney World's Disney/MGM Studios in Orlando. Ask anybody and they'll tell you great memories of that ride.

Speaking of Tales from the Crypt, I never saw the original HBO series but did see the Saturday Morning animated version called Tales from the Cryptkeeper. I know, I need to grow bigger balls.

I read that NOW Comics during their run in the 80s and early 90s actually released two different series based on two classic Columbia Pictures films from the 1980s, Ghostbusters and Fright Night. I wonder if they're any bad issues among them?

Or maybe it's Venjix, who now has some measure of control OVER the Morphing Grid, which would also explain the mechanical noise... Then again, Linkara hasn't seen RPM yet, so that's probably not the case...

Oh no! Not Pollo! He's a robot chicken!

If you're going to get a clown for AT4W, why not get Chuckles from Ultima 6? Spoony shot his teeth out, so I don't think he'd want to keep working with him.

All that and he has a Yellow Power Ring, so he can be useful against the Entity.

Your opinion on clowns as entertainers mirrors my own. I also believe alot of people who claim to be scared of clowns are not actually scared, but playing up to expectation. I love your annalisis of why they are scary. I hope there's a bad freddy krueger comic, as I'd love to hear you annalisis of him.

As someone who has drawn in 3D, I can tell you what I think part of the problem with the 3D in this comic is. It's not shaded. As a result it's like holding a image made out of bent wire rather than a solid object. It's hard to explain, but I hope you understand.

As for the ending, I was expecting the 1 armed man to be the dog given that he only appears when the dog isn't around, and how he keeps telling people to shh just like she told it at the start, not to mention the wolf sound.

Not "everyone" taken was near any of Linkara's props, unless you think one billion people marched through his and Liz's apartment.

I'm getting hints that Linkara isn't as oblivious to the Entity as he's pretending. He has some devious plan going, presumably one that involved getting Pollo captured.

Also: Lewis, once you start bringing back the people the Entity has taken, you have a great excuse to give cameos to various people who used to be on TGWTG, e.g. That Jewish Bloke, the Girl with the Goggles. After all, in-universe something made them disappear, right?

The comic: I've seen episodes of all 3 versions. Personally, I'd say the 2002 version is probably the weaker one, but not by much. Not knocking the other 2, I just don't think it was as bad as it could have been. Which would be this comic. That said, I'm more of an Outer Limits fan, particularly of the 1990's series.

I love the Twilight Zone!

Personally, I love any episode featuring William Shatner. It was a great show with great ideas and the ability to tell a compelling story in thirty minutes. This comic not so much. It might have been okay if some things were expanded upon. But remember, a lot of the episodes had many aspects not explained until the very end. But you'd figure that the girl's situation would have been explained by Rod in the narration boxes from the start.

I have been loving the subtle Entity story over the past several months. Lewis can really weave a cerebral and intense story (especially since its in small installments) I get genuinely freaked out by the subliminal messages and the abductions. The atmosphere is one of paranoia and dread. After watching, I'm afraid to look behind me, in case I'm next on the Entity's menu. That's how I felt at the end, anything could have set me off in a fear induced fit. And it did...

While watching the episode, I kept hearing light bumping noises in the dark room I was in. Could it be the cats? No, they aren't around. It isn't the bird. Did I knock something over with my foot or Snuggie? Let me check, but first I need to finish this episode...Dang, that was creepy. Now what is making that noise. BAM! The biggest surliest, dust bunny covered tree frog hops out from under the couch right at me. My heart stopped. That is how powerful Lewis' writing is in the Entity Saga.

I can't wait to see what happens...Who will disappear next...and without Pollo, how will Linkara cope? The stakes are much higher than before with that many people vanishing off the face of the Earth...or even chunks of the Earth disappearing (I think it was mentioned waaayyyy back when the Entity first appeared.)

Anyway. Bravo, sir. Was the clown introduced solely as a throw away gag of the Entity taking him and Linkara not noticing, or will he eventually make a comeback after everything? How will Linkara deal with the loss of his oldest and most trusted companion? Will 90s Kid get to use his favorite gun? Will Liz vanish as well? Find out next week, same bat time, same bat channel.

Time to guess the Entity's motive. It wants you to review One More Day. Therefore, it is removing anyone who could talk enough sense into you to not do it. Except Liz. As a final attack, it will remove Liz after you review One More Day. As this is its motive, there is only one being that can save us all from the Entity. BEAR!!!

Jeez, how do you screw up a "Twilight Zone" comic.....well like that I suppose.

I hate when writers tend to put more focus on everyone BUT the main character, especially in a Twilight Zone-related story, where that is often key to the story above all else.

I'm equally excited to see where this whole "Entity" storyline is going, because it looks like its finally picking up some much needed steam.....but why Pollo.....WHY?!?!?!

Okay...Well it's safe to deduce that this entity has been paying attention to whatever we say here so you know what? I'm gonna do something that at least one or two of us should .

Taunt the entity.

Yes it's stupid and one of us will probably disappear. But I've also noticed that in some situations the entity must take physical form to take someone. Harvey, Linksano they had seen the entity before they were taken. So this just makes me think that in order to better prepare someone must make a saccrifice.

I'm on board who is with me?

Also anyone else notice that during the "I'm not that thin." message appeared that a voice could be heard? It might be getting closer.

Ah, yes, the Twilight Zone: one of the greatest sci-fi series ever. The comic, however, is not a worthy Twilight Zone story. This is IDW Silent Hill-level of bad. The 3-D section doesn't make things any better.

Oh, man, this is bad. The Entity attacking the clown gag character who only appeared for one scene is one thing, but causing a billion people to disappear? Attacking Pollo? Just what exactly are we dealing with? Oh, man, I don't think I like where this is going . . .

Oh man, the credits made me want Pringles. Please tell me I'm not dating myself too badly. Plus, I LOVE the storyline and the amalgamation of the props. As someone who respects personal canon and persistent story, I salute you.

I was kinda expecting something to happen arc wise with the Twilight Zone comic being reviewed... that wasn't what I expected though. I'm glad you can keep doing that, because quite often almost nothing breaks my expectations anymore.

Unknown said...

As I recall, none of the TV shows had the "Twilight Zone" as a tool of justice or education. There were exceptions, but they were just that - exceptions. A more classic set up would have had the fun house" eat the men, the woman and her little dog too.

LEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNN-KAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH-RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

Your clown is gone. 90s Kid is gone. Harvey Finevoice is gone. The ninja is gone.

None of your friends are safe. I will get them all. They will all suffer by my hands.

You cannot save them. You cannot save this world. I will feast on your souls. I will warp your minds with horrors undreamed of.

I am older than time. I stood by as your universe was created. And I will feed on your fear.

The dream will become a nightmare. The hero will be broken. And this time, the little girl won't save you. This time, I am not controlled by anyone. The rules have changed.

I am all around you.

See you soon...

It took Pollo, one of Linkara's biggest co-stars...ok, NOW it's personal. There's no way this thing can be left alive!

Also, awesome review. People don't seem to understand that, even in the Twilight Zone, some explanation and flow is needed.

Alex Stritar said...

...Wait a minute, if the entity only attacks people when they're alone, how come it attacked Boffo? After all, he was in the same room as Linkara when it got him.

When the two hicks get to the bug room, one thing went through my head.

RADSCORPION!!!!

Jarkes said...

Ah, crap... the Entity has left a comment... and apparently, 90's Kid is gone too... We're definitely screwed...

Paul Kinter said...

The Entity took 90's kid off screen? That would be disappointing. I kinda hope that one's just someone being a troll.

Also, boffo might not have technically been alone, but he could have been comprably far away to the Ninja Style Dancer during his disappearance. Linkara wasn't looking, so that was all there was too it.

Kind of like, as many pointed out, the crying angels from the Whoniverse.

Rhodoferax said...

THANK YOU! The hatred pured out upon clowns has gone completely overboard, and has to stop.

I really have to wonder how and when everyone turned into a coulrophobe. Heck, lots of people talk about clowns being inherently scary as if it's the standard view. No. No it isn't. Clowns are fun, innocent, and whimsical. The reason evil clowns are so scary is because they take such a gentle and kind being and pervert him into something evil, not because clowns themselves are scary in any way.

Ahem.

Also, I'm going to agree with what Mountain King said way above, regarding 2000AD and the Future Shocks. Alan Moore's stuff is indeed really good; he was a genius even when starting off. Here's a sample of the sort of thing he wrote back then.

As well, there's a 2-part story in issues 1743-6 called "Six Brothers", which is a three-part story that actually does horror pretty well, and even ends with a decent twist. I can send you some scans if you like.

Oh, and speaking of Alan Moore, I don't know if anyone has told you about it, but he actually wrote a comic about the Kool-Aid Man once. Yes, he did.

Wait, how does the Entity know that your gun actually contains the... wait, a piece of the world is missing, it's more than a piece, where the lost beast came, the book, you've seen my bones before, this time the little girl won't save you, no but didn't you stop that apparition? Linkara, get Vyce back to this world now. You WILL need him.

I thought so. I remember the second Silent Hill review ended with the Entity entering our world, so it has to be tied to the Silent Hill dimension. Something tells me once the fog returns this October, "it" will finally be ready. I just wonder if he'll even get out of that review alive this time around...

The entity actually appeared a review earlier, in the Star Trek Voyager Elite Force review. It seemed to arrive right behind the Vorsoth.

Maybe Lietentant Monroe has some incites since it left his dimmension. Why would it leave before it was finished, I wonder?

Huh. Wherever the Entity's taken the cast, it seems somewhere with an internet connection so they can post garbled messages online.

Uh, could someone check that mediafire download? I can't.

And it seems Harvey has been trying to establish contact for a while. Unfortunately, he still hasn't been able to say anything worthwhile.

According to Lord Vyce, it keeps leaving dimensions as it learns of Vyce's appearance ( Star Trek: Elite Force.) Perhaps Vyve either knows its weakness, or stranger still composed of the entity's weakness.

I'm personally gonna have to call shenanigans on that Entity comment and the Twitter account - the first is far too straightforward and the second far too ridiculous. But I am, very tentatively, more inclined to accept the Mediafire file.

There's problems there too, of course. It's hardly as though Pollo's voice is difficult to emulate - I've got Speakonia myself - and the Entity sounds could have been ripped from one of the already existing videos. Still...I don't know, it just seems like a lot of effort for someone to put forth just to troll us. And, frankly, I think I really do want to trust at least some of these missives. They're ARG-like enough that I feel like I know where I stand. A dangerous assumption to make while the Entity is on the prowl, perhaps, but even so.

Have we any code-breakers in the house? Plenty of these strings of gibberish just look like your average keysmashings, but then there are oddly precise ones...and besides, you really never DO know.

Ah, Stoicheio, but Lewis moderates the comments. Were they not legit, he would have noticed.

Hi Lewis. This is James from VHSWASTELAND. I've watched your videos for a long time on ThatGuy and just discovered that you had a site of your own with hours and hours of videos and podcasts and other great stuff. Its like looking behind the tree after Christmas and finding a ton of presents you had somehow missed. Looking through your site, I just have to say that you are really a swell guy for personally reading and many times commenting back to your fans. That really impressed me. So, just wanted to drop you a line and give you props for that bud. Your videos, as always, are fantastic, but your devotion to those devoted to you is what really gives you an extra 50 points of awesome in my book. As a thank you for all the entertainment you've brought me and my staff, I'd love to send you a free shirt from the site. (there the ones Brad has worn in some of his latest vlogs). Just stop by and drop me a line if your interested and I'll get one shipped out to you. Either way, really top notch stuff bud. Thanks for making my 10 hours a day of work a lot more enjoyable. :)

Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if he was letting them through just to screw with us. I know that's what I'D do. xD

Actually, there's a good reason to let fake Entity messages through as well, it will cause paranoia. Which message is real? Which message is fake? We can't tell. Goddamit Linkara, you magnificent bastard, I READ YOUR BOOK. Great review as always, your incredibly paranoid fan.

"dream our empty dream " i think i heard it before. from a early video can anyone help me figure it out

I haven't read the issue, but from the review what it reminded me most of was The Last Temptation of Alice Cooper by Neil Gaiman.
Mostly because of the carny theme.

The 3D kinda worked for me, but not very well. And not always.

Here's my problem... I want to view the videos, but for some stupid reason, Blip.tv is not working for me. It works for SOME of the TGWTG videos, but not all of them, and for Linkara's most recent videos, not at all.

I want to blame the Entity for this but I'm thinking some moron at Blip.TV is not fixing a bug that needs to be fixed.

I recommend you try watching them on different browsers, or checking out the RSS feeds on blip and download the FLV files from there. Also make sure to update your flash software. ^_^ Hope that helps!

This was a very good review, I quite liked the way it turned out.

I'm a horror fan myself and The Twilight Zone is one of my favorite series.

Your rod serling impression is impecable.

By the way, about that entity. Did anyone else know that it was going to come back?

Paxton Lavis said...

OMG i believe that Nimway (or hal9000) is the Entity.

Okay, you keep mentioning your figure, so listen up. If you're *serious* about wanting to lose weight, just eat less bread, less sugar, plenty of lean protein and fresh fruits and vegetables. Oh and one day a week, eat and drink whatever the hell you want.

I can say from personal experience, this seriously works! All I did was switch from soda to coffee and cut 90% of the bread out of my diet, and I went from how you look now to how you looked when you started reviewing in about a month.

I still have a little paunch left on my belly (they say it's always the last thing to go,) but I feel lighter, I move faster and more gracefully with less effort, and have more energy.

If you care about looking your best, maybe give it a try.

man this comic was lackluster, if you want to see a good horror anthology comic check out zenescope's Grimm Tales of Terror, full written review here: http://fronttowardsgamer.com/2014/09/13/grimm-tales-of-terror-3-review-comics/
