Great trailer.
I'm definitely looking forward to it.
I remember your first video review of one of the Silent Hill comics was when I first came to your website.

So, Linkara is going to Silent Hill. I went there once. It was all happy, bright and sunshinny. They girl I came with, though, didn't seem to think so. She said there were monsters and fog and stuff, but I didn't see any. I kinda got out of there when she started beating up dogs with plank with a nail through it. I found out later that people see difrent things in Silent Hill based on their psycological issues, and apperently she was sexually abused as a child. How was I supposed to know? She said she never wanted to see me agien and we never did, beacuse she got abducted by aliens the next week.

Anyway, looking forword to the reviews.

Wow "Bimbos in time" that sounds even worse than "sultry teenage superfoxs"... i didn't think that was possible

Look forward to them. It's too bad 22 Brides is included since from what I've seen in previews, it looked like an interesting comic oh well. BTW, is the Spidey, Cage and Storm one the one that's anti-smoking?

Oh yeah... I am so looking forward to the Silent Hill and ASB&R reviews. "Bimbos in Time"? Seriously? What is that, a Doctor Who porno?

BTW, Linkara, what will your costume be this Halloween?

I'm looking forward to your next videos. October is my favorite month of the year, and you just made it better :D

Fantastic! Hilarious, and a very stylistic way to get people in the mood for the month. A fantastic contrast of moody oldness and hilarious parody. I'm looking forward to this month!

Kinda sucks that I've never played, watched or read any Silent Hill. But if this is any indication, I'm sure I'll still enjoy what's coming up.

Looking forward to your Allstar batman and robin review, it's almost as if Frank Miller wrote that comic specifically for you to review it.

This was definitely an interesting mix, in terms of Silent Hill references. You used songs from the fourth and first games, but your premise was from the second game. You did an excellent job, and I am very much looking forward to your reviews!

At last!!! All-Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder #1-2 but are you ever gonna pick up where you left it in the written reviews?

Looking forward to Silent Hill in October, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories in November.

An ASBAR review? Finally!

I recall that toplessrobot.com named Maximum Clonage the worst story in the Clone Saga. Hey wait! That is an anniversary of your first video review, isn't it?!

And it seems like a good time to review a Silent Hill comic, with Shattered Memories on the horizon!

By golly, it's almost as if I planned that! 8)

While I thought the Kool-Aid Man review was a huge step in the wrong direction, I'm incredibly excited for the Dying Inside review.

I'm going to sound pretty wapanese for saying this, but did you ever notice how whenever you give the Silent Hill series to America, it sucks? I mean, first the movie, then crap like this. Origins and Shattered Memories weren't too rosy, neither. Then again, The Room was pretty bad, too... Maybe the series is past its prime?

I would like to see these following books in the following months: An issue of 'Ninja High School', 'Vixen: Return of the Lion', issues of 'Furrlough' or 'Genus', the Malibu Street Figter comic, or a Heroic Publishing comic!

Wait, no date one the last one to two episodes of LP: Elite Force?

The House of C.R.P said...

Errr....discoeyeball, Shattered Memories is not out yet. Are you referring to Homecoming?

YhuntressE said...

Jeremy A. Patterson: I remember the Malibu Street Fighter comic. I hear it was so bad that even the people behind the game sent them an angry letter about how much the comic pissed them off. If I remember correctly, didn't Ken get scalped in that one?

I wouldn't mind seeing an issue of DV8 get it as well. The art was decent (Ramos proved that he can do more than funny stuff), but Ellis was trying way too hard to be like Garth Ennis and capture Preacher's edginess with this comic.

ShadowWing Tronix said...

Ah, yes, Spider-Man,Power Man, and Storm Meets Smokescreen, a PSA comic even I can't defend. This won't end well.

But better than All-Star Batman & Robin and a comic so bad he has to review all five issues over 3 reviews.

Wow! ever since that 5 panels about Silent Hill, I have been looking foward to your tackling it in greater detail! This is gonna be awesome!!

Awesome that on my birthday you will review All-Star (goddamn)Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder #1-2! Very cool! I can't to see that one!

So I see Doom #1 on your list. Does that mean you have been able to hunt down a copy, or is it a different comic than the requested one from your requests post?

Spider-Man, Storm, and Cage? Three characters that have nothing to do with each other, in the same comic? that don't sound too bad, but I have a feeling there is something I'm missing here.

I look foward to all these awesome reviews, as do many, many, many fans!

So until either the Kool Aid Man or Rob Leifeld end up making a good comic, MAKE MINE LINKARA! (The creation of Cable & Deadpool doesn't count)

@The House of C.R.P: Yes, actually. Very sorry about that.

But isn't Shattered Memories the one that changes story elements based on decisions that the player makes during the game? See, that doesn't feel very Silent Hill-y to me. The town is supposed to reflect the sins and guilt of the main character, not the player. At least, that's how I see it. I mean, the games' ending is one thing, but everything else shouldn't be too tangible, is all I'm saying.

Maximum Cloneage, the Spider-Man/Storm/Cage anti-smoking comic and the Goddamn Batman?

Fantastic!

The thing is you are the main character. The game watches you. People think the Silent Hill in Silent Hill 2 is Silent Hill but it isn't.

The story is the same just the particulars are moved around to more freak you out.

The wii version is the version to get. Also a lot of people who have checked it out find it to a breath of fresh air and more scarier then the typical Silent Hill game since the game as you play along the monsters in it turn into things that will freak you out but likely not have an effect on others since it isn't tailored to them.

Defenetly looking foward to it. I just can't get enough Silent Hill lately.

The_Random_Ninja said...

Nice trailer. I can't wait for the awesomeness.

What is the music playing? Is it from Silent Hill or another source? I've never played the games so I wouldn't know.

Looking forward to it!

The New NC List also has you put down for a joint review of Superman IV in October, HOORAY!

All Star Batman And Robin? I think you mean, "Has-Been Batman In Name Only and Dicky Grayson, Age 12."

Man did All-Star Batman and Robin suck. Looking forward to that review.

Disappointed that Marvel's Ultimatum is not on this list though, especially since you've done a number of bad DC crossovers.

Pity that the first part isn't out yet.

Ivan Druzhkov said...

I'm actually kinda curious about how you're gonna go about reviewing the Doom comic, considering that it does a superb job of mocking itself.

I mean, I know YOU ARE A MAN, Linkara, but are you A MAN AND HALF and/or A BERSERKER PACKIN' MAN AND A HALF THAT'S A 12.0 ON THE 10.0 SCALE OF BADNESS?

Furry hate makes me sad :(
Furrlough and Genus succeed in tailoring to their market audiences (furries), but most other people think they suck.

Either way, between the NC's list and this, I am so happy that all I can hear is the "The Jeffersons" theme song in my head.
