Ohh, man, a Mickey Mantle AND the Kool-Aid man comic? Awesome.
And congrats on finally finishing every page for Issue 2. I'll be sure to check that out next month. ;-)

Was Batman: Fortunate Son that one comic where Batman and Robin discover Rock n' Roll? The very concept sounds like something out of the 60's show, but I bet they screwed it up big time.
And the Kool-Aid man had his own comic?! It's like Superman meets the Quik Bunny all over again.

...A Law and Order comic? Wow, they're willing to make comics on anything, nowadays, aren't way.

This DumpsterTech episode is relevant to my interests, if only for the tablet and touchscreen elements to Windows 7; as an artist, I rely on these items for my work (even got an HP Pavilion TX-2000 recently so I can have a tablet PC I can use when on vacation or to do openCanvas with people at conventions or something), so it's vital to me to know how Windows 7 handles these before I decide to upgrade.

One thing I have noticed, though, is that this OP follows a trend that Microsoft seems to set: the odd-numbered Windows OP upgrades are awesome, the even-numbered ones suck ass. Funny how this is the complete reverse to the pattern the Star Trek movies used to have (until Nemesis screwed with the pattern). I wonder...

I actually had one of those Kool-Aid Man comics as a kid.

Wait, wait, wait...

There was a Law and Order comic book? Um, why?

Hooray a crappy Batman comic!

cool! I can't wait to get my copy of Reveloutions of The Mask #2!

As I type this Mr. Linkara, i see a minor typo at the bottom of your post, which as I type this, you may have fixed. no biggie, busy man, you must be tired from all this work. That is why, you are THE MAN! *pawnch*

Sounds like after seeing what else is on the plate, a herd of Leifeld jokes are on the horizon! sweet! Law & Order, eh? Never knew they had a comic. They are better suited for text novels I think. Nightcat! yes! This is going to be a classic funny one! Micky Mantle #2?.........-scratches head-........ok, you got me curious. Kool Aide Man.....OMG!
but hey

Kool-Aid got a comic? Oh boy. Can't wait to see how this next batch comes out (not to mention the "Elite Force" vids, whenever you can get back to those).

Sorry to crush everyone's hopes up, the Law & Order review isn't about a comic based on the TV franchise, it's something else.

Can't wait for the Kool-Aid Man comic, it's gonna be wicked, OH YEAH!!!!!!

And a Mickey Mantle comic book? How does that happen!?

Anyways, can't wait for the reviews, man. ;)

interesting... cable#1 wasn't he one of rob's creations? oh boy, i see a lot of twitching in the future

Old Cable or New Cable? Both are pretty awful but still I'm curious

angel_of_rebirth said...

Can't wait for the cable review, because you can never have enough Rob Liefeld.

Will said...

Slade, I was going to say the same thing. The only thing that irks Linkara more than any character or comic created by or connected to Liefeld is Superboy-Prime. If somehow Superdork-Prime ever showed up in a Liefeld comic in all his whiny glory("On my world all the guns were bigger and everyone had more pouches!")I'd fear for Linkara's life. His head would end up exploding like the dude in Scanners.

I'm sure it's old Cable, since the video preview released a few months ago implied Liefeldian humor.

Personally I prefer my Cable with Deadpool. And Homoeroticism (What?).

Either that or with cheap, zero-frame startup super combos [/obscure fighting game reference].

Another batch of Linkara previews, & here is my list of what I would like to see in the future:
*With the 25-year anniversary of Femforce in the horizon, will you be spotlighting one of their comics?
*Ninja High School is approaching issue #175, will you show an example of them?
*Furrlough is going to be close to issue #200, will you be showing an issue of that book?
*How about something bad from Heroic Publishing?
And an Archie comic OTHER THAN Archie Meets The Punisher!

Looking forward to the next issue of "Revolution of the Mask" - the first issue was AWESOME! Dystopia-tastic!

And if that isn't a word, it should be.

To Jeremy:

Well, I donated my Archie meets the TMNT to Linkara. It was a TMNT Special issue under the Archie published TMNT comics. And the crossover was one of the three stories in it. Even Josie and the Pussycats have a cameo in it.

The one shot story about the mutant mammoth is just so bad. Where the turtles even quote the most famous line from Pogo for some reason. Just interchange out 'enemy' with 'monster'.

But it's not the worst thing Archie has ever published, though. Google: "Conservation Corps comic".

Seems like a solid list to me, man. I'm going to look up Batman: Fortunate Son. I MAY of heard of it. I don't know. I'll look into it.

Mickey Mantle had a comic? Well...I guess if Shaq had one. If Manny Ramierez ever has a comic I'm gonna go nuts!

I had to look up Zero PAtrol and man, I sure remember Continuity (sp) Comics. They did make quite a few bad ones.

Here are some more suggestions:
Bruce Jones' Checkmate: He turned the spy-thriller into a book about a morphing amnesiac animal man fighting giant porcupines!
a '15 Lamest G.I.Joe Characters' list!

This is it for this time!

The ones that have my curiosity piqued are Air Raiders and Zero Patrol; I've never heard of either of them, and it's kind of hard to guess what they might be like. Finding new awfulness is always entertaining to me.

If you're looking for donations, may I send you the entire Shooter run on the last iteration of the Legion? I'll gladly fill you in on any details Legion-history-wise (I love 'em, but I'll be the first to admit they're a continuity clusterschmozz). Even if you're new to the Legion, you're dealing with more "woman issues" than a Solson publication. About the only thing I like is Manapul's art, and even that has gotten better since being free from Shooter's creepiness. It's really, really bad, and I'm more than willing to gather them together & remove them from my otherwise completist collection because I hate them that much.

I recognize Furrlough, and I've got to wonder: are you really wanting Linkara to review a Furry comic? I'll admit, I'd be intrigued to see how he handles something like Heathen City or whatnot, but frankly, I don't think he'd be the kind of person to do that kind of review.

Oooh, this list sounds good. A nice pick-me-after after the Countdown gloom.

Srsly, you need to not listen to some of your fans. Your Countdown review was solid, but not nearly as good as these silly one-shots.
