Please do the 90's kid game review, that would be badass, i always love it when he come up in a review
Who was filming you during the read-through? Rob, I presume?
Also, The 90s Kid Video Game Review Show would be awesome! Only the most tubular Sega Genesis games!
Oh, Rob. Right.
Thanks for the look at the making of a review - I'm always curious to see how much work goes into those.
A 90s kid show would be very cool - but don't forget about Harvey Finevoice - I love that guy!
I love watching this stuff. I don't know why I always enjoy seeing people just hanging out and being geeks, but I do.
Slightly less fun knowing you were less than TWENTY MILES FROM MY OLD HOMETOWN ASDFGHJK, but hey. :)
Do more! Spoony said there was more!
Wow. That looked like it would have been a blast to be a fly on the wall for that one. Though I'd have ended up ruining the taping because I'd be laughing too much. ^^
It's weird. If there's a commentary on a DVD, it's like "meh". But anything that comes out of ATFW or The Spoony Experiment, I gotta hear it. I may just run Spider Solitaire or Bookworm with it in the background, but I gotta hear it.
It's all gold.
I got a Seinfeld feeling when you were all sitting around and talking about the lines
My aunt got me that The Complete Calvin & Hobbes back when it first was published. This prompted me to take a look at it after it had been collecting dust for several months. It is a nice collection.
Cool to see behind the scenes anyway.
Personally the idea of The 90s Kid doing video game reviews appeals to me in a funny way because, having been from that time and knowing how willing I was to think that horrible ideas were the greatest ever (Sega Nomad, for example), I think it'd be a hit.
I know people like the idea of "90's kid reviews" for video games, but I'd hold off on them for a while. There's already waaaaaaaaaay too many video game sketches on TGWTG right now.
Wow, you really are a feminist (having a problem with the "wish more women acted like that" line). Or am I reading too much into that?
I really enjoy these little behind-the-scenes vignettes, and the various Dune references were great fun.
That was absolutely awesome. I'd love to see more of these behind-the-scenes clip for any video.
I think I remember someone asking this earlier, but I don't remember your answer: What kind of tapes do you use for your reviews?
Mini-DV tapes.
New everyone! Uwe Boll has made a movie that's...decent. Rampage, the story of a loser's one man killing spree, is basically what Postal should have been, instead of the incoherent mess that was released in theaters. Let's see how long this breath of fresh air lasts until being submerged into the cinematic swamp Boll is famous for. Follow the link for more information.

Lewis, if you could turn Noah's attention to this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Linkara, do you think you would ever do a Calvin & Hobbes retrospective? It was brilliant, and I think you could do it as much justice as you did with Blue Beetle.
Lewis, has anyone ever told you your laugh sounds kind of...evil ? :p
Ah, so THIS is what goes on, behind the scenes of your reviews, eh? I must remember this when I get ready to launch my own internet review show.
Really good vlog there.Really interesting seeing the kind of work that goes on behind the scenes on something like this.
Man, it seems like shooting something with you guys would be a hoot. A lot of work, but a hoot. Thanks for posting this, Louis - it was great to see how you, Noah, and Doug work together behind the camera as well as on it.
These behind the scenes looks are always something I treasure. It gives a great sensibility to why I admire so much what you all do.
I loved the Alone in the Dark review and the behind the scenes bit was just as much fun. Keep on doing what you're doing! Big fan!
i can't get the vid to load
This is just awesome :) But I'm sad that I wasn't there, I bet I would've had lol-moments all the time :P
And I do love geeks. I need to find one and marry him, right now!
Hey Linkara, I just saw how much worth your blog...
here
http://bizinformation.org/us/www.atopfourthwall.blogspot.com
Just 123 dollars... well, I think it value at least 10 thousand dollars per fun video...
Bear in mind, only about 1,000 to 2,000 people visit my blog for updates - most everyone else goes to TGWTG.
wow, you really need do do a 90's kid game review, it would be totally radical ! :D
I was hoping for a behind-the-scenes vid. Always nice to see how everything comes about.
Oh, and do a 90s Kid show.
spoony made this vlog sound boring, he was wrong! also that 90s kid reveiw thing would work great by the way you deserve a trophy for creepiest wave ever and Bhargav deserves a trophy for worst homer simpson impression. the fight for whos trophy is more awesome will one day be the thing of legends.
I love behind the scenes things. When it's a bunch of geeks doing geeky things things are all the better. You looking into the camera, smiling, and waving with your fingers is such a fangirl moment...
Late comment, true, but it's a shame you didn't go with your gut on the "more women" line. It ended up killing my joy a bit.
Thats weird, you all seem so..normal while not in character! ^^
"Taco-rhythmic" was somehow far funnier than it had any right to be.
Calvin and Hobbes is totally literature. That shit is DEEP, mon.
The script read-through was great. It's so cool watching the creative process at work. And it's interesting seeing that you guys are... well, just guys, having the same sort of conversations that I'd expect when sitting down with my own geeky friends. (What, you mean celebrities are people too? Who knew?)
That wave... defies description.
"Granted I wish more girls acted like that..." Yeah, every time I hear that I think, 'Don't encourage the fangirls, Linkara, they're tempted enough'. Probably should have changed it, but it was good, even though it gives fangirls dirty thoughts.
It would have been hilarious if it had cut to Rob flicking the lights on and off like it was suggested. I laughed so hard at just the idea of it!
Thanks for the insight on all your pre-recording things. It's interesting.
