Theme Song Contest

I need a theme song!

Before you ask, I watch all of the shows I mention in this. The Forky Experiment is a favorite. ‎

I've always been partial to that one guy, I think it's the guy that reviews old underrated games. It's on the tip of my tongue.

I'm a little wary to the idea of a theme song. The Nostalgia Critic has gone two years without one and he's doing just fine.

Also the Irate Gamer isn't bad... HE'S HORRIBLE! He can't act, he can't write, and he gets his facts wrong quite often. I usually ignore the whole "AVGN Ripoff" thing since anyone who reviews games is constituted as that but that doesn't excuse his overuse of Special Effects to disguise his abysmal acting and obvious lack of Gaming Skills.

Back to the theme song, something to the tune of Smells Like Teen Spirit would work.

Eh, I'd prefer to avoid songs that already exist for copyright reasons. ^^;

I should note you're talking to the guy who used a "magic Flintlock pistol" to shoot a copy of Star Trek #1 that was clearly hanging from a string. ^_~

True, but at least your videos are enjoyable and I can watch them over and over again. Not to mention you have catchphrases.
But hey it's all about the magic, you don't have to explain it (God Damn You Quesada).

I agree with BatDan--a theme song isn't necessary. I watch you for the contents.

I prefer to think of it as part of the evolution of the show. I started without a catchphrase, got one, improved my lighting, improved the sound, improved the jokes and delivery. The theme song is the next step (followed by getting a camera that has a microphone input...).

I've started working on the song this afternoon, but my Zoom 505II started smoking, so I stopped for today. I have a verse and chorus done, it might be enough for a theme. I'll see if I can record it tomorrow. ;)

I'd write you the greatest theme song EVAR, but I don't know the first thing about music outside of Guitar Hero. So, Linkara, hope you get a rockin' theme.

Too bad it has to be user created, I was thinking that "Now you're a man!" would have been a fitting one for obvious reasons :D Here's youtube link anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8e_MKBfsvk

Wow! I'm gonna try and come up with a uber-awesome one for you! Even if it ain't a winner, it will still be fun to try!

So until I finish my copy of "Vulcan Gang Signs for Dummies", MAKE MINE LINKARA!

I'll whip up somethin' for ya. And the guy who said "Smells Like Teen Spirit" gave me a great idea.

Under18!fans miss out on the fun? (I'm "at least 17" in Howard Chaykin years. XD)

If you can make a good enough song go right ahead. ^_^

Though I'm not sure about Paypal age restrictions...

Meh. If I can't get something worked out, it can go to the good cause of comic finding. XD

Hmm, I have kinda been working on a song too... Hopefully it should be prety awsome, the problem is I don't have any real recording hardware, well basically i have a webcam.. I mean how good quality are you asking for and what format? I mean I would rather like to enter, cause its fun... but ya know.

You know, if you're looking for music and want to avoid copyright's and such, there is a website in which you can purchase songs and their copyrights. If your interested, it's www.stockmusic.net. Most of the music on the website is about 30 bucks each.

"The Irate gamer isn't that bad..."

Well...
I do admit that I kinda liked his cereal reviews.
I find them informative in a trivial but utterly satisfying way.
Like who'd thought that Lucky Charms would go through so many changes! And I do chuckle a bit when he says "Breakfast is RUINED!" Very juvenile stuff, but original.
However, whenever he does his usual Irate Gamer act, he just comes off to me as the "Angry Video Game Retard", because he's a terrible video game reviewer who rips apart obviously good games like the Lucasarts classic, "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" and the all around classic Doki Doki Panic retool, "Super Mario Brothers 2."

I'm not against rip offs in any way, it's just that every rip off should bring his or her own ideas(gimmicks) to the table.

Like Nostalgia Chick, who reviews "girly" nostalgia flicks.

And of course, you, Linkara, who reviews bad comic books.

And then there's Confused Matthew, who makes negative reviews of well received movies that are surprisingly very critical and actually intelligent.

And of course there's Happy Video Game Nerd, who's really not funny per se, but rather insightful because he shows some really cool underrated classics that I would have never even heard about. But other than that, he's the gay alternate universe version of AGVN.

Just a heads up man, somehow the video that plays is the Captain Planet review, not the theme song contest. Yeah, I know its LONG over now, but for someone like me that likes to archive binge, you may want to change it. The right video is on Blip, but the embedded one here is again, the Captain Planet one.
