Battle Commentaries!

Liz and I finally got around to recording commentaries on two Atop the Fourth Wall episodes featuring battles!

Power Rangers Zeo #1

Doctor Who Classics #7

NOTE: I say Marobot when I mean MasterTheCreater, my title card artist. I had Marobot on the mind since he did the interiors of Vyce's ship. ‎

well I have to point out that in Japan Yellow has a long standing tradition of being a male spot in Sentai dating all the way back to GoRanger. it's only been recently where Sentai has put a female as the yellow ranger role

Interesting stuff regarding the Mechakara finale and the Vyce finale. Somehow keeping with the Power Rangers ideas, I just sort of imagine Liz eventually adapting into the Lost Galaxy ones considering...well, they use swords. (it's that or Samurai but I think Lost Galaxy fits a bit more with the old-school concept of the 90s)

Though it was interesting to note the whole second Mechakara fight should have been out earlier. Yeah it probably would have made more sense there...though one wonders what will happen to Neutro if you need to upgrade your powers again. (though somehow I still think once you get to Turbo/Beetleborg, those powers will go to someone more "extreme")

why doesn't Liz use the magic in Drizzt's scimitars?

One kinda-cool usage of the "The End?" thing does exist: the Season 1 and 2 cliffhangers of Beast Wars: Transformers. Then again, said cliffhangers did portray particularly cataclysmic events, which I will not spoil, as I'm going to review that show next month. *grin*

funny commentary! greatly enjoyed it! Sucks though that that Youngblood vs Power Rangers omic never was produced!

Always find commentaries on things like this fascinating. I never get to do productions like this so I love hearing what goes into creating one.

Though seeing these did remind me of something I meant to ask, is the severed Mechakara hand prop okay? I remember seeing the normal one with the handle still attached on the shelves where the prop one was placed before. Just made me wonder if something happened to it or if the filming was a little too rough for it.

I don't know if you'll actually read this, Linkara, but I'm gonna say it anyway.
I'm trying to create a webcomic review series on ThatGuyWiththeGlasses, and I was wondering if I could review YOUR webcomic. I understand if you don't want me to, but I just felt like asking.

Nah, I've still got it - don't worry about it. ^_^

Go right ahead. ^_^

Isn't there a problem of bringing Mechakara back too much? He'll be a villain that shows up, gets killed and comes back. Obviously you have to take into account the limitations of needing a character available without relying on Spoony, but isn't there a way around this?

As for great U.K writers, I suspect that has more to do with U.S cultural dominance. Because it's harder for writers from Europe to do well in the U.S we tend to only see the best writers.

Hey, it's me again. I just wanted to show you the review for Lightbringer issue one I've posted so far, to see what you think. I'm not very good at reviewing; just a warning. I'd like to see what you think before I continue. http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/blogs/write/entry/the-web-comic-analyst-lightbringer-issue-one

I was wondering if there is any chance of lord Vice returning or not?

Do you think you will ever have a being like Q on the show?

Love your commentaries. It's a shame the Power Rangers Zeo didn't arrive at the intended release of X-Mas. So, the scene from the last part of the Cry for Justice Review where Vyce is beating up Linksano for Mechakara's defeat, was this have supposed to occur before Vyce arrives in your dimension?

I hope you do a future Power Rangers Turbo/Beetleborgs Metallix review, as well as the next appearance of Judas Liz on either Iron Liz's RPG review show or Atop the Fourth Wall and, of course, the evil Entity.

Actually, that scene was originally meant to take place at the end of part 2 of Cry for Justice, but I pushed it up because I didn't have time to set up the green screen until then.

You were talking about male Yellow Rangers in your Zeo commentary... Actually, the Sentai counterparts of Trini, Aisha, Maya, Kelsey, Katie, and Taylor were all male. This was especially funny in Lost Galaxy, considering how Maya was rather... well-endowed.

And actually, in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (the Sentai version of the current season), near the end of the series, a female Red Ranger shows up. Considering that Power Rangers Samurai is pretty much exactly like Shinkenger, her counterpart has already been cast.

As others have said Yellow originally started as a male color, we did get some females as well. In PR they would change any male Yellows into females, they would continue until Ninja Storm (Although there were some actual Female Yellows along the way). Heck, we even had female Blues since Liveman(1988). The only colors who have been strictly male and female have been green and pink.

The current Sentai (Gokaiger) may even break that tradition as well. Since when males or females change into past warriors who weren't that their suits are changed respectively. Will be funny to see Saban finally use the suits which they changed into female, now with actual skirts and the like.

Hey, Linkara, you like the old-school Sonic games, right? Then you'll LOVE Sonic Colors for the Wii, and the upcoming Sonic Generations for the Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS.

I have a question related to the above: What is the most recent Sonic game you have actually played?

Sonic and Knuckles.

Or Sonic Spinball.

Ooh! Sonic 3D Blast. Didn't play that one very long.

Don't know which one's the most recent.

Sonic 3D Blast. ...Wow. You haven't played a new Sonic game in 15 years. ...Huh. Well, whatever. That's your choice, and I respect it.

You have to understand - I'm not a gamer, like, at all. I don't follow the releases of new titles and a lot of the stuff I do play is based on franchises I like already, like Pokemon or Star Trek. I have an old-school DS and I'm not updating to the 3DS. Hell, it was only a few months ago that I got a DS-Lite in addition to my old one.

I only got a PS2 a few months ago via fan donation. I only have an XBox 360 because Liz owns one. XD
