wait are you guys commentating over the commentary?
The actor playing the weather man was Miguel Ferrer interesting side note i've only seen him play a good guy once and it was a voice acting job. He played Martian Manhunter in Justice League the new frontier.
Aaand further along... That TV special is from 1997, according to both IMDB and Wikipedia, so Kyle Rayner had already existed in the comics for three years.
One thing about the review, this show was made in 1997. Real World debuted in 1990, and Kyle Rayner's first appearance was in 1994.

Oh my God! This was one of my favorite Crossovers ever. I still want to get a Bootleg DVD of this for my own.
Also, a bit of irony because of this review I learned of a comci called "I Can't Believe it's Not The Justice League" and I just bought it off HAlf.com 2 days ago and now ya'll've reposted this review and did a commentary!
So the Wonder Woman movie/Piolet has escaped! I want to see i now! Or at least read the review or plot outline!
I want to see you 2 do a crossover agian and review that old Live Action Superfirend thing ya'll admitted it on here you that one of ya'll owns it too on the same disc as this piolet!?
And the guy would played Weather-MAn on this movie did play a good guy in the long running TV series ER for years he was the hea dof the hospital! I remember this because I use to watch it with my mom when I was little it came on before Home Inprovement I do believe!
Also, One nit-pick Kyle was just coming out in the comics when this piolet was being produced as that's Kyle's Green Lantern logo on this costume! The half black half green one!
Love ya'll's shows!
Loved this commentary on this massive beat-down on the fail that dares call itself a TV pilot.
Since there was a pilot for Wonder Woman, I want to see a review soon. Invite Iron Liz and Obscurus Lupa to be guest hosts.

Regarding your comments on villians wasting their inventions on idiotic world domination plots instead of just patenting and selling.
If you're looking for a Super-powered setting where the potential for making money is not ignored, there's Aberrant, White-Wolf's superhero game.
In it, a lot of Novas (their word for supers) work for businesses or are celebrities. A lesser number fight proxy wars, because why risk thousands of troops when a couple of Novas could duke it out instead.
I'm not going to give you guys shit for not knowing how much of a big deal golf-ball sized hail is, since you don't seem to be from a region that sees it often (I have no idea where Nash lives,) but getting hit with it is not a "mild inconvenience." I have a crack in my work vehicle that proves that. I imagine it would cause a nasty hemotoma.

Oh, I know how dangerous it can be - the problem is that it doesn't even resemble hail. It's clearly ping pong balls.
Besides J'onn J'onzz, Ferrer was also Aquaman in his introductory episode in Superman: The Animated Series (the role was recast for Aquaman's Justice League and JLU appearances), and had a number of good guy roles when he landed regular roles on TV, such as in Crossing Jordan.
But yes, he's played a lot of villains over the years. A lot.
As a funny casting note, in STAS, Ferrer was also cast as Weather Wizard, whom the Weather Man is a cheap copy of. The character model even ressembled Ferrer, albeit with a bit more hair on top.
Well, that I'll give to you.
Hey, now you have to schedule a Wonder Woman movie review, i have a copy on my PC and my friends from S.A.F.E.T.Y. are really really pissed off with DC/Warner, NBC, David E. Kelley and Adrianne Palicki, i blame mostly NBC but i start to think she has some sort of curse, did you have a copy of Aquaman's unaired pilot ? She was there too.
Why people from show business are so unwilling to make money with their own properties ?
Your giggle of death in this video was really creepy, Lewis. Was that Mechakara?
"Hmmhmhmhm."
I'm confused. What's happening here?! I can't concentrate while there's a video running in the background ... and then you guys talking over it??
I really don't get what the point of this was!? It's really annoying. Sorry. Why can't we just see the back video? I'm sorry I really don't know the context.

...It's a commentary. You know, like how movies have commentary tracks by the directors/writers/actors/etc.?
I've posted commentaries before. This is a commentary for a review Nash and I did a little while back. Nash tends to do his commentaries as picture in picture.
OK. I'll be sure to stay away from these, then, because I can't keep up. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Silent Hill/Scott Ciencin nonsense that you will beautifully destroy.
Miguel Ferrer ummm He wasn't the bad guy in the Night Flier!
"Anonymous said...

He was still kind of an asshole in that movie. About the same as he was in RoboCop! He wasn't evil or a bad guy technically but he was sort of a douch!
quoting : "nonsense that you will beautifully destroy".
Those things are not destroyed here mister, they burn - metaphorically, not physically just metaphorically. Burn books, comics and stuff is an activity best suited for censorship. The only think Lewis does when in character is exposed the awfulness of bad written medium in general. The day Linkara actually burn something will be the day the show goes too far, despite some videos you don't fool me even for a minute Lewis, making people laugh about bad comics, ruined their reputations is a lot more effective than trash them on fire.
Point taken : It's not about burning, it's all about exposition through ridiculous or in other words telling everybody about the proverbial nudity of the king and see the wackiness taking place.
Lewis, i humbly present my petition, by the usual means available review at some moment in the future Aquaman and Wonder Woman unaired pilots please, i would like to know what you or any friend reviewer from your closest circle have to say about that.

Uhh, actually at least two comics have literally been burned on this show. It's in the opening credits.

I don't buy it that Lewis, for me looks like magic tricks, your character goes along with guys like Penn & Teller despite the fact once i saw the terrible parallel 90's world where superheroes existed, George Lucas never made Star Wars because he dies in a car accident, Ronald Reagan never was elected president, World War III happened, and the streets of New Michigan know a bitter vigilante named Bloody Haug, Noah Antwiller is President of the Remaining Confederate States of the Western America and Commisioner Elizabeth Lovhaug a.k.a. "IronLiz" die fighting evil mutants, but for some reason unknown i became a playboy millionaire, thanks god that's never happened because you save George Lucas on that car crash but i don't blame you for the prequels and endless CGI editings, no, you are a nice kid.
And that's why i don't believe in your magic tricks, i never saw you burn real bad comics and probably never will, that's something unthinkable....well maybe LinkaraSano...but not you Mister.
Now go make your prayers before the great philosopher Frank Miller finish writting All Star Batman & Robin #11, #12 and #13,#14,#15 and #16 extended writer's cut unrated editions because that still is a temporal possibility yet and i guess that's a real nightmare for you but not for me because i have different tastes.

You've never seen anything with David Krumholtz you liked? Does that mean you've never seen Serenity, or that you disliked it?

I liked Serenity, but I barely remember who he was in that movie.

Actually, if you pay attention a lot, you'd notice Bob Morton, Ferrer's character in RoboCop, was an amoral, heartless bastard. He may not have been as outright evil as Richard Jones, but remember that his RoboCop project required "prime candidates" being transferred to high risk locations to guarantee the death of a good cop for RoboCop. That kind of thing isn't just "douchey", it's outright heartless.
This reminds me, have you ever seen the Tick live action series? it's pretty bad, and it has 8 episodes to boot.

Yeah, true, but still he wasn't the villain. And even though threw the grapeline of blame he caused Muffey's death he also caused his rebirth as RoboCop.

It was cut short, but it was far from "pretty bad". It was pretty great, all things considered. It was a critical hit, AND The Tick's creator Ben Edlund considers it much closer in tone to his original comics, compared to the cartoon.
I watched it in its first run and I loved it.

Um... what the hell are you talking about? Where did you get all that stuff about that parallel universe? And yes, he DID burn those comics... just not with a Battlizer.
Sorry, dude, but I think you're nuts. And you have terrible grammar skills. Seriously, that whole first paragraph is a single sentence! That's bull!
I know who the Leaguers are talking to in those "confessional" scenes. It's the same person that ALL fictional characters in "confessional" scenes (i.e. The Office) talk to:
It's Clark Kent. It's ALWAYS Clark Kent.
