Okay, people, if you'll recall the Odds and Ends post I made a few days ago, I set up some ebay auctions. Three of those auctions, because of their size, I'm not doing international shipping on. The rest, however, I'm more than happy to do International Shipping...
...except ebay is kind bass-ackwards about this kind of thing and I screwed up. I thought listing off exclusions to where I won't ship would automatically mean NOT putting those exclusions meant international shipping would be fine.
I talked to Doug Walker, however, who has done ebay auctions, too, and he told me that ebay actually pretty much hides those options when you first set up a listing and you can't put them back on when the item is already listed. I refuse to punish the people who have already bid on these items by cancelling them and relisting them. However, it seems that there IS a work-around available. Really the international exclusion thing SEEMS to only just hide the listings from people outside the USA, but they're still capable of bidding on it if they have actual links to them.
As such, I am reposting the direct links to each listing that I am doing international on for your use. If this is not the case and it seems you CAN'T actually bid on them, then I am truly sorry and it was certainly not my intention. This first attempt of mine to do ebay selling has been a success, however, and I plan on doing some more for more comics that I've reviewed in the future and I will make sure this doesn't happen again.
Again, apologies for the inconvenience and hopefully this will work this time.

So that happens to the stuff, you do not need anymore. Great concept, really. I mean - when you have no room for stuff, you have to sell it. Better than throwing it away.
Just a question - not really related to the e-bay-auction - how many sonic screwdrivers do you have? In the nostalgia chicks video on "What Women Want", you are working with one, that looks a bit like the eleventh Docs. I have bought it a few days ago, but mine has no round... thingie on top, but like a claw or something like that.
That screwdriver is from the "Personalize Your Own Sonic Screwdriver" set, which came with two new designs for screwdrivers. ^_^
Ah, cool. ^^
Thanks for the answer. ^^

I don't use Ebay to bid, I use it to buy.
If any of your international items were on sale, I would buy them. But I refuse to bid on anything.
Furthermore, I have a self-imposed limit on how much stuff I buy from Ebay, so I actually don't want to buy anything else until the stuff I already bought arrives.
I know it's off topic but I wanted you to know (for what is possibly the first of THOUSANDS of times) that they announced "Before Watchmen", the Alan Moore-less Watchmen Prequel Mini-Series-s-s this morning.

Umm, ok this is only barely related to your post (although I guess it has to do wit $$), but do you know how to allow blip ads with adblock? I tried adding blip to the exceptions but I am still not getting any adverts. I really do not want to turn adblock off entirely...
So... how do we send you fanart? The link to your e-mail doesn't work for me, and being a pretty good artist myself, that's definately something I know I can do. Down the road, if I have time, I might also show interest in doing title cards. But until I graduate (high school) I think I'll stick to fanart for now.

Rude! :P
Touche though. Just had to throw it out there. I will not bug you again.

LOL, my apologies, I wasn't intending to be rude to you - it was the same thing I tweeted when the news first broke. I have no intention of getting the prequels, since to do so would support their creation. I'll get them if it turns out they're really horrible, but otherwise I find just the idea of new Watchmen material an insult to the original book.

I can understand why you feel that way, but what happens if they do actually end up being good and somehow live up the the originals?

Guess I lied. I'm bugging you again. Heh...
You weren't REALLY being rude (at least, I assumed you weren't). No offense taken, felt or assumed to be applied. We're cool is what I'm saying.
Personally, I'll be getting them out of principle JUST BECAUSE they're Watchmen related, unless they're astronomically priced, but I'm not expecting them to be anywhere near as good as the original books, if they're good at all.
NOW I'll stop mucking up your comment wall with unrelated Watchmen talk. Sorry about that. I REALLY want to support you, plus maybe pick up a couple of goodies, but I'm annoyingly poor. Seriously, it's not funny how un-rich I am. If I ever find cash in the future, I'll try to send a donation to make up for it simply because watching AT4W is easily the highlight of my week.
Hey Linkara, if you're ad revenue is down, maybe instead of posting videos about dr. pepper you could make the next HOPR.
Just sayin.
"I can understand why you feel that way, but what happens if they do actually end up being good and somehow live up the the originals?"
I still won't care. Watchmen is one of those books that I feel is completely self-contained and should not have any peripheral material beyond the book itself. Even if Alan Moore WAS onboard and writing these prequels or even a sequel, I'd still be against it and feel iffy about the idea.

Hey, here's an idea - read the Odds and Ends post where I give an update about it and why I haven't resumed work on it just yet. I still don't have the files and I'll be getting them in the next few days.
Just sayin'.
I am not a bad person.
I will admit my error. I apologize for my comment about history of power rangers.
I don't follow your blog, and i felt like being snippy.
I apologize, sir.

I feel the same way. It's like when I tell my friends that a sequel to "The Incredibles" is pointless since it practically explored and paid homage to many, if not most, elements of the superhero genre. I mean, what's left for the movie to explore: Tights or no tights? I know the answer to that: Women yes! Men no! :)

What, you aren't interesting in someone else's version of Nite-Owl breaking his arm in the robo-armour? Or seeing the Comedian find his Happy Face badge in a box of cereal?
I'm just going to ignore their cash-in attempt and hope it goes away quickly.
Wicked! I'd love to bid but way out of my price range!
I do like you're auctioning off the worst comics you've reviewed! :P
Hi :)
Relating to your last tweet (at least the last my frontpage shows - somehow some tweets of you aren't shown ._.) where you talked about shipping on monday when you got the payment - did you get my e-mail (over paypal) about the auction including the Marville, Pokemon and Kiss Comics?
Don't need an immediate reply on that mail, just wanna be sure that you got it.
@Reepicheep-chan: With the way that Adblock Plus works you have to set the exceptions on the site you're watching the video through. If you're watching on TGWTG and/or on here you'll have to add those as exceptions and not Blip, unless you watch videos via Blip's site.
Meanwhile Adblock has had on their roadmap for several versions an easy manner to do things the reverse way and only have it block specific sites, there is a way to do this already but you have to edit stuff manually to identify sites to block ads on. I hope they eventually do do this, as I personally only want to use their blocks on sites where ads have tried to virus drop me (only 15 sites to date, and only wikia that is of general interest) but I haven't really the time to manually edit my filters.

Yep! I received it and I'll get everything all sorted out for the international bidders, too. ^_^
From what I can tell for two others who used international bidding, you have to send a "Request total" to me and that will include the shipping cost. I'm not going to make it too much, since hey, they are just comic books. ^_^ I have no experience shipping internationally, so if's actually kind of expensive for comics, I'll take the hit for people.
@vlad
I see. Thank you for your help, I will see if I can get that to work.
hey question that is admittedly rather random (and you may have already answered and if so i apologize), but does the name for pollo come from the line in the mst3k theme song were tom servo shows up and goes call me pollo (or something along those lines can't actually remember it)?
Hey Linkara/Lewis. Is there any way to make bad comic suggestions, or if there is a list of what has been suggested?
I won't go into details here, but it's a 2011 comic called Super Dinosaur #1.
It's 14 of info dump, so much 90s speak that even 90s kid would say to ease off the slang a bit, and the rest of the 30 page book is just character bios.
...art is nice though.
Regarding international shippers, I have no idea what eBay auction this is, I only read the problem you had.
Some international buyers (from UK personally) can use the bundlebox website. (Just google it.)
Doing so enables the international buyer to purchase the item and has the merry extra of giving you a US address to the post the item to.
I'm not sure if this will help but I hope it does. :)
