Normals and Beginnings

We've got another Odds and Ends post for you! Click below to see updates on various things, the schedule of upcoming episodes, me trying out Dr. Pepper, and Ebay auctions!

Schedule of Upcoming Episodes
Here are the upcoming episodes for the next two months! As always, they're subject to change if it turns out they're not so bad or just so painfully dull that I can't make anything about them funny.

1/30 - New Guardians #1
2/6 - Gameboy #2
2/13 - Secret Double Feature (Plus: The End of the "His Blue Soul" arc)
2/20 - Mr. T #1 (AP Comics)
2/27 - Mr. T #2
3/5 - The Amazing Spider-Man and Captain America in Dr. Doom's Revenge!
3/12 - The Invincible Four of Kung-Fu & Ninja #3
3/19 - Kamandi at Earth's End #2
3/26 - Blackweb #1

I should also note that after the end of the "His Blue Soul" storyline, we're probably going to take a break from storylines for the following two months or so. It's been kind of non-stop for me since the end of the Entity storyline with only a reprieve in January... which was still occupied by MAGFest. So yeah, I think we could all use a little break (at least that I could), especially with what's going to be coming with the end of this one.

Linkara Tries Dr. Pepper
Yeah, this is probably a post that could be on its own, but I figure what the hell - watch me jump on the "reviewer tries food" bandwagon as I try Dr. Pepper for the very first time ever.

Dracula: Sovreign of the Damned Bloopers
Behold the bloopers for the crossover Bennett and I did! Plus: bloopers for his crossover with Spoony where they reviewed Diatron-5!

NOTE: If you're wondering why my swearing is bleeped here and not in the stinger for the Wonder Woman crossover, it's because I didn't realize Nash was going to put that in at the end. Had I known, I would have asked him to bleep it. While it should be common knowledge that I use that kind of language outside the videos by now, I always prefer to not have that available for people except on something like, say, a DVD extra, where you can see me use certain choice words in the Alone in the Dark review bloopers on the That Guy With the Glasses volume 1 DVD.

Upcoming Crossover Review
As I've stated elsewhere, I recorded three crossover reviews for MAGFest. Two of them you have already seen - the Wonder Woman 2011 TV pilot and the Dracula: Sovreign of the Damned review. However, the third one is a little more complicated. I'm the one who's actually editing that one... and writing it. Yeah, in the anticipation for MAGFest, I had to write four scripts and I ended up prioritizing them: getting two regular episodes and the live show took priority.

The fourth script, the actual crossover, took last and as a result, I ended up only taking notes on the movie, then writing up the live action scenes I knew I wanted to do, and filming those there. As a result, I need to actually write the voiceover sections for the review. It shouldn't be TOO difficult a process, since voiceover tends to be a summary... but this movie is painful and confusing and I'm writing for a loooot of people and as such I need to get all their voices down. I'm going to try to finish this script in the next 2-3 weeks, but I just wanted to let you guys know that there's one more crossover from MAGFest featuring me, and yes, it involves that picture of me with the DeLorean.

Smallville Review by Vincent E.L.
Vincent E.L., the guy responsible for the Atop the Fourth Wall theme song, recently started his own review series! Check out the pilot episode, a review of an episode of Smallville!

Media Meltdown Interviews Linkara
And here's another interview from MAGFest!

That's All I'm Saying Update
A lot of people have been asking about the status of That's All I'm Saying and if I'll be continuing it. Unfortunately, due to the lack of time I've had, I haven't had a chance to really think about working on it. While it's a relatively simple thing to put together, it still requires time to write and edit.

On top of that, with everything else I'm working on for AT4W, I'm actually BEHIND on my comics reading and have a stack of at least twenty comics I haven't had a chance to read yet from the past month or two. And even then, there isn't much to say about the stuff I'm reading beyond what I've already said before.

Is the series dead? Eh, I don't like to say that, but I want to focus my efforts on stuff like History of Power Rangers or other shows than taking a day to look at my pull list. I may still do an episode if I have something I'd like to say on a subject, but otherwise it's unlikely you'll be seeing anything any time soon, sorry to say.

Ebay Auctions
I have some items up for sale!

You can see the ebay list of items available HERE!
NOTE: Some items I will not be doing international shipping on, I'm sorry to say, due to their size.

Pollo Contest Update
I am happy to report that I have now gone through all 298 entries! Now the process has to be narrowing down those entries into finalists and to pick one from those. Fortunately, I marked which ones I liked along the way, so that process shouldn't take too long. Then I have to confer with the Prop Lady and see what's actually viable to create, especially given some of the imaginative and awesome ideas proposed by people. Do I have an actual date in mind when the winner will be announced? Unfortunately not, especially with the end of the storyline coming up, but still, you should at least be happy to know that progress is being made.

History of Power Rangers Update
SEE: The last Odds and Ends post.

Well, I lie. Unfortunately, there are still delays to be had with the aforementioned storyline finale.

However, there is now an actual reason why there is a delay beyond that. For Christmas, I got a brand-spankin' new editing computer. It is supremely awesome. In the process of transferring data and doing a major cleanup of my old computer, there's a lot of items that have not been transferred over yet... and on the list of stuff to be transferred back just happens to be all my Power Rangers episodes. As a result, I do not have access to them since they're sitting on a hard drive at my parents' place and thus I cannot watch anything right now. Don't worry - I know HOPR is taking a while, but I will make it worth the wait for people, and we're in the home stretch of seasons now.

The Road to 200
I am VERY proud to report that this summer will feature the 200TH EPISODE OF ATOP THE FOURTH WALL! What will I be reviewing? I'm not saying. What I will say is that it's heavily requested and that it's multiple issues. As a result, I may split the 200th episode into two parts of the same episode, but I will give this one the utter destruction that it deserves.

I'm not sure yet how I want to start the buildup and celebrations for 200 episodes, but I want to find some way of doing something exciting for fans as we go down the road to 200. If you have any ideas, please post them below!

"Love show"? You did a LOVE show at MAGfest?

. . .

Your buildup to two hundred? Instead of a storyline about a villain, how about one about you tracking down, or just trying to figure out, what to review. I know YOU know what you'll review, but the character "Linkara" probably doesn't. You might even have it feature some reflection by Linkara, and drop hints--or outright flashbacks--about the characters origins and why he puts himself through hell with crappy comics every week.

Hm. Interesting lineup and looking forward to double header.
By the way I loved that photo with DeLorean. As I said during a chat when talking about it that looks doctor traded in tardis for back to future DeLorean. :)
Ebay auction um I don't know. I got to save money for con starting around after next month. I been meaning to catch up wrestling but probably will have enough to get bunch of classic doctor who dvds. I might take part in auction.
200 Episode maybe around my first anniversary of finding AT4W. Yeah i'm behind. I wonder when it will be and what the review will be. Hm. Highly requested? Multiparter? Do I smell maybe a certain title that was on list of things you will never review? Maybe something to do with a deal? Or maybe Sonic/Image (I forget if it's more then one part) but I can't wait.

Up coming episodes: Interesting line up for the next little while.

Dr. Pepper: I've tried it within the last year or so myself, and I'm going to be 30 this year... I can't believe I just typed that... and while I didn't think it was awful I wouldn't go out of my way to get it either.

Last MAGfest cross over: Take your time.

TAIS: See above.

Ebay: Tempting, but I'm not much for online shopping.

Pollo: I still kick myself for the hardware failure the weekend the contest ended, got a new laptop out of it, so it kinda evens out, but still...

HOPR: Crappy, but as with the crossover, and as usual when 'where's the next ep?' comes up, take your time.

200th: Looking forward to whatever you have in store for us.

Dr. Pepper: Personally I love this stuff, but the rest of my family hates it. So I only get it when I feel like drinking a 12 pack to myself :p For anyone reading, if you want a nice cocktail. Coke with Amaretto, tastes like Dr. Pepper. I addicted my friend to that one :p And of course, anyone reading this will only do so if they are above the legal age, whatever it is, wherever you are :p

Storylines: If I had made it too MAGfest, my question for you was going to be "Do you ever just feel like saying, no storylines for a month or two, I'm tired" So I have my answer and saved a flight :p

eBay: I am broke and unemployed, so I can't bid myself unfortunately. I would like to say however, thank you for being reasonable in your starting prices. Some people are ridiculous in that regard.

TAIS: Understandable. It des get repetitive to say "_____ is fun and continuing the great story from last month." Unless a truly brilliant or awful issues comes out, or you get into a new series it is hard to be new :p

Looking forward to the 200th. I am now trying to think back to what you have commented on as being"highly requested" in the past. Hmmmmm

I love Dr. Pepper it's my favorite cola type soda, so too each their own.

And yeah the weekly pull list thing is very hard to get out in a timely fashion I found that out when I started doing one back in November... So I think we totally understand, hope it comes back, but don't sweat it.

Looking foward to this line up of reviews, looking good.

Yup, that's correct, Dr. pepper is basically for people who actually enjoy the taste of cough syrup.

I happen to be one of those people.

Episode 200 this summer?

You have this show since - what - three years and already have Episode 200 coming up, this summer?

Episode 100 was a big celbration for Stargate, and it happened in season 5. You are in your third season and have Episode 200... wow...

Like I said, hopefully you don`t burnout.

To the other things:
What is a love show?

The History of Power Rangers was something, that got me interested in them - not as much as I would ever actually watch an episode, but as much as review-wise I find them most interesting. And I think, but maybe that is just me, that Bull is playing in the cinema-version of 21 Jump Street.
And - take your time, do what has to be done, and - of course, don`t let people talk into your plan.

Although I didn't participate in the pollo-contest, I am looking forward to see the winner of it.

By the way, the new mega-mega-mega computer you got for christmas, is that the one we can see behind you in the still-frame of the "Tries Dr. Pepper" and "E-Bay"? The one with the three monitors?

To the upcoming comics:
There was a second game-boy comic? *remembers the first one* Oh my god....
And I am looking forward to the other ones, but... what is blackweb?

And I guess, I will check out the smallville-review. It is season 9 - so no problem of spoilers there. I avoided anything spoiler related to season 10, because I don`t have seen it yet. But I think, it will be out to buy somewhen in may around here. ^^

So - live long and prosper, I am looking forward to all those things.

I always think of the end of the storyline to have a two-parter. Sure The Entity arc didn't have one, but the two-parter right after made up for that, even if I had to wait another week for it.

Keep up the great work Linkara.

Also, may I suggest you review the comic tie-in that came with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it's almost a year old(your cut-off date I think)

FugueforFrog said...

Sort of hoping 200 ISN'T "One More Day". You've said more than enough of your hatred of it and I rather keep that as the "mystical" series you'll never review. There are plenty of other terrible comics out there and more are emerging all the time for you to bring that up again. (then again I don't know if you are a Slott fan from a comment from a recent review but I heard there was a Doc Samson mini he regretted writing during an earlier Marvel stint if you want to let loose on him for that...at least his Shulkie work was classic though)

I just can't believe we're getting more Gameboy though...with how wacky the first issue was, I can't wait to see how much weirder it can get after seeing Wario's old ally try to invade our world.

FugueforFrog said...

Oh almost forgot: huge Pepper fan and, one of these days if you liked the first one, try "Dublin Dr. Pepper" from Texas. You'll never taste the store-brand the same ever again.

Good morning, Linkara.

1. The Media Meltdown interviewers were quite good. They clearly weren't struggling to think of questions, and knew you well enough to not ask the "Linkara FAQ" questions covered by so many before them ("How did you get into reviewing comics?", "What's your favorite comic?", etc.).

2. I was thinking about Mark Millar's comic "Wanted" recently in regards to you and the TGWTG gang. Is there a particular reason the villains of TGWTG (Mechakara, Dark Nella, Corporate Commander, Doctor Insano, etc.) haven't all banded together to do...something?

Is it just too difficult to involve that many people in a crossover (regardless of whether you're all in the same room)? Are the Walkers saving it for an Anniversary movie? Do the TGWTG villains simply not want the same things out of the world?

Just curious.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

If you don't like things that are real sweet then Dr.Pepper is not gonna be for you.

Also this will sound weird but for me Dr.Pepper taste better or worse depending on what the container is or where it's from. For example, I think it's better out of a drink-fountain and out of a can. The plastic bottles seem to give it a...funk. (and not of the George Clinton variety.)

I don't like diet drinks but I like Coke Zero better than real Coke, go figure.

To celebrate 200 episodes, my suggestion is a montage of Linkara happy dancing.

Heavily equested comic eh? and Multiple issues? Hmm, not sure what that could be honestly. You've already explained your thoughts on OMD, it has to be some kind of event or miniseries. Can you give me a hint? I'm not entirely sure about what are your most requested books.

Looking forward to seein Gameboy #2 and that Dr. Doom one. Those sound fun.

I noticed you're wearing a Weird Al t-shirt with the Poodle Hat album cover. Is that you're favorite Weird Al album? I've been drinking Dr. Pepper as far back as I can remember. It's not my favorite soda, but I do enjoy it. That being said, however, I do know a lot of people who don't particularly care for it, so you're not alone in that boat. I'm still a little hung up on the fact that you're 24 and only just now trying it for the first time. I was maybe two or three the first time I ever had Dr. Pepper. Different strokes, I guess...

Jarkes said...

So, anyway, considering that Power Rangers Samurai is (for some reason) being split into two 20-episode seasons, the second one being called "Super Samurai" and beginning in February (at least, I think so), are you just going to review both seasons and one season, since it's all one story anyway?

Phantom Roxas said...

I like that you're reviewing New Guardians, Game Boy, and Kamandi, since they're all continuations of previous reviews.

Looking forward to the finale of His Blue Soul, although I haven't watched that yet since I'm currently on the Entity arc. It's going to be a shame to not see so much story, but I think it works because that way you can release more episodes accessible to potential new fans of the show. I love your storyline, but it deserves a breather, and you could use the extra time to help develop the plot.

A shame to hear about TAIS, but as you pointed out, the series might eventually devolve into you just saying "This is good. I like it."

Really looking forward to Pollo's new design. I'll have to find all the entries to see what I want to win.

Haven't watch HOPR since Wild Force, so I'll find some time for that. I stopped watching the series after Ninja Storm, so it might be jarring to see you review the seasons I didn't watch.

I'm excited for the 200th episode. I'm not going to bother speculating, and I wouldn't mind if it's OMD or not. The fact that it's multiple issues sounds good, which means you have more of a story to tear apart.

Linkara, don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be a troll or anything, but you make too big a deal out of not swearing. You swear all the time, I would get it if your show didn't have any, but you use "America Fuck Yeah" as a running gag all of the time.

Kth-77 said...

HERATIC! Alright, I kid, but it is a little sad my favorite web series producer hates my all time favorite soda and personal addition.
Anyhow one person said that the Linkara Character wouldn't know, I kinda like the idea that he's so busy doing all his champion/hero stuff he never has time to focus on his review show. Then we can have stuff like Linkara questioning if he should hang up his magic gun and focus on comics, or pack away the books and focus on hero work. A sort of character study, Linkara deciding who he is.

Ken Godberson said...

What!? You don't like Dr. Pepper! Well screw you! I'm not watching your show anymore!

Obviously kidding. But hey, its an acquired taste.

Thats said about TAIS, but I understand. Good luck with the 200th episode...wow....

I will say they, looking at one of your TAIS eps concerning Batman, specifically Greg Capullo's art. Now while I do enjoy his art for the most part...I noticed something. It's this one flaw, but considering how severe this flaw is, I can't help it.

I was looking at Batman #1, specifically the page with Bruce, Dick, Tim and Damian on it. This was where I noticed it, and it became more and more noticeable as I continued.

...Greg Capullo has only one facial structure for them. Its really jarring especially with the scenes with Bruce and Dick and they look almost exactly the same. Now similarities between Bruce and Damian I understand...but all four of them? Really?

The Blue And The Gold said...

I was wondering about TAIS, just guessed you were busy. Good to know it's in limbo, though, as opposed to being completely killed off.

But as for the Dr. Pepper video, I noticed you said your revenue was down. Should we be concerned or am I just engaging my panic circuits prematurely? I apologize if I'm sticking my nose into your business, just don't want your job in jeopardy, really.

But to end on a lighter note... there's a Diet Sunkist Lemonade? There's a Sunkist Lemonade? Unless you guys have something different to what we have (orange soda) with a similar name, where in the pit has this stuff been?! I don't sell anything like that in my store.

Yeah, I can't remember if I commented on this in the TAIS at the time, but I have similar problems with the art there.

I don't think there's cause to be concerned just yet. While revenue is DOWN, it's not to the point where I'll be in trouble. I bring it up to explain why I decided to make a video about trying Dr. Pepper as opposed to just trying it and then getting rid of it.

"Dr Doom's Revenge." Thats the one which was made as a set-up for the computer game right, I had that. Probably the first comic I ever read.
It was also better than the game, which may not say much.

Hey Linkara, I was wondering -- are you planning on doing any reviews of comics that some people say are good, but that you hate? Like you did for The Dark Knight Strikes Again? Because I thought you were really good at cutting through the good bits to show how stupid and horrible the comic was.

You always seem so nice and goofy in your non-review videos. I mean, your reviews are really funny, but I think it's your appearances elsewhere that make me actually like you as a person, which makes your reviews even more enjoyable to me :) Of course, being super loud and brutal and sarcastic is what makes your reviews funny in the first place though.

I'm a major Dr. Pepper drinker, but Like what MattComix said, Dr. Pepper tastes better from a can. Bottles tend to be hit or miss depends on how long they been sitting.
Funny thing is, I HATE cherry cough syrup, but I don't find that taste in the actual soda, which is wierd cause i use to take cough syrup when i was little, but drank the soda all the time.

Go figure.

Wait, you actually LIKE Smallville? ...Okay, I haven't seen any of it, but I've heard... mixed things about it. Some say it started good, but dragged on for far too long, other say it was mostly good, with a few glaring flaws that stood out and became more prominent in the later seasons, and still others says it was absolutely horrible all the way through. I think Linkara's one of the third group, considering that in his "Marville" review he remarked that Smallville ran for "10 years too long".

"Something that is heavily requested and spans multiple issues".

My best guesses are:

-Civil War

-Infinite Crisis

-Final Crisis

-Secret Invasion

-House of M

-Avengers Dissasambled

"Is there a particular reason the villains of TGWTG (Mechakara, Dark Nella, Corporate Commander, Doctor Insano, etc.) haven't all banded together to do...something?

Is it just too difficult to involve that many people in a crossover (regardless of whether you're all in the same room)? Are the Walkers saving it for an Anniversary movie? Do the TGWTG villains simply not want the same things out of the world?"

I actually suggested this back when I was part of the TGWTG forum (you know, before my reputation went down in flames and I was forced to use this blog to reply to Linkara's videos).

Rob's answer was that it would be too much of a hassle to get EVERY villain in a single video.

However, I again want to restate that I don't want EVERY villain, just a lineup of the most recognizable and popular ones.

My suggestion for such lineup would be:

-Doctor Insano

-Doctor Linksano (I HATED the fact that Lewis turned him good, that was a mistake on Lewis' part)

-Douchey McNitpick

-Corporate Commander

-Doctor Smith

-The Distressed Watcher (it would be hilarious if he lampshaded his status as a hated reviewer by coming back along all the other villains)

-Judas Liz

-Dark Nella

-Fredericks

-Red Lantern Ultimate Warrior

-The Gatekeeper (complete with Sinestro Corps ring)

-Juno the Sorceress

-R.O.B.

-Mechakara

-Bugs Bunny

and

-P2

"If you're wondering why my swearing is bleeped here and not in the stinger for the Wonder Woman crossover, it's because I didn't realize Nash was going to put that in at the end."

Never trust a Howard Stern-like reviewer to bleep out profanity.

Also, we don't get Doctor Pepper where I live, therefore I never drunk it once in my life, therefore I don't give a rat's ass about what Linkara thinks of it.

Though (on a sort-of related note), I'm tempted to try Brad's Mc10:35. Mind you, I haven't actually eaten an actual McDonald's beef burger in years (I switched to their chicken sandwhiches a long time ago), but it looks tasty enough to try it.

@ Jarkes

Yes, I actually like the show.
It has its flaws, it had major flaws in the first two series (and with major flaws I mean, that it was just awful boring), but with the third season they found their footings.

Of course, things started to get really interesting, when Lois Lane appeared in season 4 - and I know, that people are saying, that they are screwing the complete continuity... but I also think, that they should have cancelled Smallville when he got to metropolis and then call the show just "Metropolis", because that was, where most of the action took place, then.

So - the show was decent. Had a few good story arcs and some good laughs.

And I know, that there are other opinions - which is fine. We live in a world, where we can talk to people in Minnesota or Los Angeles, and everyone has his or her own opinion - that is diversity.

I mean, I like the Wonder Woman Movie, but found the show with Linda Carter a bit campy.
Every taste is different, so - yes, I liked smallville. ^^

I pity you and your Dr. Pepper experience. If you are still in Arizona you are likely getting it from what is known to be the most syrupy bottler in the nation. Usually sodas from that distributor need to be mixed with 50% more water to taste like the Sodas normally are suppose to.

That said. If you ever get down to Waco Texas you can actually get the original Recipe in original strength from the drug store where it was invented. But yeah its always tasted medicine-ish to me as well. But in the 80's the flavors were more distinct. Some time in the 90's when they switched to Corn Syrup being the main sweetener they even started phasing out "Less Noticeable" flavors. So instead of the 27 or so there's closer to 12 mostly synthetic flavors in the current Dr Pepper.

I think you may still end up disgusted by it but find the Waco original recipe to be a more enjoyable experience.

Also if you can get them please consider trying Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback both made with Real Sugar and classic recipes. They show just how far artificial flavoring has dragged some tastes from where they use to be.

Haven't actually read the thread nor watched the other video yet. I'll likely make another comment afterwards. But this 8 min was definitely not wasted IMO. Just wish Blip would give you some sponsors that were worth clicking on.

Sorry to say I don't have the budget for it right now but I did look over your E-Bay listings. And looking at the pictures I have to ask. Are you serious about selling the Tricorder?

30 seconds of enhancing really does allot to help people actually see the product. http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/8940/linkaratricorder.png The images as presented on the auction listing are mostly too dark to see why anyone should bother buying it other than it was yours Linkara.

I still haven't read everything and the auction video crashed my flash while I was looking at the E-Bay page. So back to the initial post ;)

You have the same reaction a lot of people outside of Texas have to Dr Pepper. To answer your question, Dr Pepper was created by a soda jerk try to invent a new flavor by doing what some people do at soda fountains - mix flavors. The base for Dr Pepper is indeed a weak cherry cola, while the other flavors are kept a secret. The diet is better, but Dr Pepper Ten is even better, tasting a little sweeter without being too sweet, like the regular formula.

Is You're Such a Card done or have you just not had the time to make a new episode of it with all the other things you've been getting done? You haven't said anything about it in your Odds and Ends and the last video was several months ago.

Either way, keep up the great work.

Went to an online comic store.

Every issue of "Invincible Four of Kung Fu & Ninja" was on sale for around a dollar. Except for issue #3, the issue you are reviewing, which is almost four dollars. Must be something special about that one. Look forward to that episode. Heck, I look forward to all of them, especially the Secret Double Issue and Mr. T...

Well, since Liz and I don't live together anymore, it would be kind of difficult to do an episode. I could play against the Pollo puppet, but the guy's got a meanstreak. XD

Unfortunately, yes, it looks like it's dead. However, it was also Liz's show to begin with.

Don't know what to say about that. XD I'm reviewing this one since it's the only issue of it that I have.

I grew up liking Dr. Pepper probably in part because my granddad is from Waco, Texas. I saw someone else say how it's a sweeter drink and that deters some people and I think I agree. I love it though. I'm not fond of Diet but it is the least diet tasting diet soda I know of. The only diet soda I can think of that I like is diet cherry Coke or maybe it's diet cherry Pepsi.

200th special episode?

Hope it's on Sins Past/Remembered. God, those are overdue for an in-depth kicking.

When I first tried Doctor Pepper, I thought it tasted a lot like Coca-Cola Cherry only sweeter. huh.

Also, it'd be funny if you printed out copies of pages of Superman at Earth's End, burned them and sold them as little autographed baggies of ashes. I wouldn't be surprised if Fans actually bought them too.

I can't help but notice that NONE of your ebay auctions provide international shipping.
As a long time fan, this saddens me.
Oh well, better luck next time.

So my favorite Internet reviewer doesn't like my favorite drink? Ah, no matter Dr. Pepper is not for everybody, and I'm not a fan of diet drinks because I don't like the sweetener they use. Go figure. :P

Thanks for letting me know! Only three items were supposed to exclude international shipping and it seems it doesn't automatically show international options like it should. I am alterting the ones that ARE supposed to be international right now.

Heavily requested. Multiple issues.

My best guess is:

Crucible (A six-issue mini-series meant to lead to a rebbot of DC's Impact line of the early 1990s, but wound up KILLING the line, plus it has JOE QUESADA involved in it!)

Something that was meant to restart a story ending up killing it?

Yeah, I have sadly been there. Many times.

At least the Impact line wasn't killed by either:

-retarded fanboys not being familiar with the Impact characters and not bothering to look them up

or

-retarded fanboys getting pissed about supposed "mischaracterizations" of the Impact characters, as well as endless yelling at the writers to "stop RPing".

Then again, I write far better than Joe Quesada.

Oh, I heard those, too. Or people yelling, that you would be god-modding.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up most of Joe Quesada's editorial decisions... that, and he hates marriage. Despite being married and having a couple kids. Go figure.

Here's another way to sum up Joe Quesada: (whiny, Superboy Prime voice) EVERYTHING WAS BETTER ON MY EARTH!

Well, it seems like no one has mentioned that the entirety of Power Rangers is now streaming on Netflix, including Samurai, so I'm mentioning it now. But you probably already knew that. Of course if you don't have a Netflix account, I can't force you to get one, though watching it there would be the most legal way to do it.

If by "yelling" you mean "having your beloved and innocent creations torn apart by a giant three-headed dog while you watch heplessly, thus killing your beloved characters without your consent or approval", then yeah, I've also been there.

I know officially hate Touhou, Cerberus, and retarded fanboys in general.

Can't wait for the 200th episode.

Possible ideas for the road to 200 -- random attacks from Dr. Insano and Douchey McNitpick, plus surprise appearances by Mirror Linkara, Judas Liz, Juno the sorceress, Corporate Commander, Dr. Smith, and Ultimate WArrior

What multi-part comic will you be doing? Avengers Disassembled? Infinite Crisis? Final Crisis? Avengers: The Crossing? The Valiant/Image crossover?

Huh, I didn't realize that Samurai was available on Netflix at this point... I knew the first 17 seasons were, but I thought they would've waited until both halves of Samurai were finished before they put it on Netflix.

"However, I again want to restate that I don't want EVERY villain, just a lineup of the most recognizable and popular ones.

My suggestion for such lineup would be:
Doctor Linksano (I HATED the fact that Lewis turned him good, that was a mistake on Lewis' part)"

Linksano was never really all that evil to begin with. As Linkara said, he just wants a group of people to hang on his every whim and none of the responsibility of ruling a whole planet. Plus, he really SUCKS as a villain because Lewis WROTE HIM THAT WAY.

"-The Distressed Watcher (it would be hilarious if he lampshaded his status as a hated reviewer by coming back along all the other villains)"

Ohhoho, I would love to be a fly on the wall when T.J. reads THAT comment. Plus, there is zero chance of that happening considering how he left TGWTG.

"-Douchey McNitpick"

He is not a villain; he is just a fan who gets on the Nostalgia Critic's nerves and is meant to parody how people on the internet take this stuff WAY too seriously. It would be like putting Bulk and Skull on the same lineup as Magneto. It just wouldn't work.

I was just looking at your schedule and The Invincible Four of Kung-Fu & Ninja got me curious, so I looked it up. The only thing I found of issue 3 was the cover but what I noticed is that nwither Katanas nor Ninjato look like that. It looks more like that sword is melting.

I enjoyed watching you try one of my most loathed common soda's. Two things I've learned that make Dr. Pepper tolerable are warming it to the temperature you'd drink tea at (about 100°F) or mixing it in about even proportions with lemonade. That said, at least it isn't Moxie, with it's medicinal herb bitterness, nor malt soda, with it's cloying sweetness.

Well, I think it's fairly obvious that one half of secret double feature will be a Youngblood issue, but will it be issue #4 or issue #0 since that came out between issues #3 and #4? And really after hearing Liefeld's idea of what to use an issue #0 from the Dooms IV #1/2 article I'm kinda curious to see how that goes (aside from the usual). Still, not too long before we find out I suppose.

KKDW: You may be correct with Youngblood being one-half of the Secret Double Feature!
