Is it just me, or does the Father/Special FX guy look a bit like Jim Gorden? Did the artist work on Batman at one time?

Am I the only one who thinks her father looks like Jim Gordon?

Another fun episode. This is such a great character you created here. LOVE the name drops the comic gives. "Manos" tops them off nicely. Beautiful artwork!

The name drops kinda remind me of the Scooby Do Movies. They would always be there even if it wasn't one of the "movies" that had a cameo in it. Actual Character driven horror is getting harder and harder to find.

Wait, Muarte can control minds? So he has magical zombie powers?

I'm really enjoying this series ^_^

Can I have some ham with your acting sir?

But really, I am impressed, I like the logo and presentation very much :)

This looks like a cool comic book that I'll have to hunt down. This series reminds me that it's been sometime for me since I read this horror anthology comicbook called Dead High Yearbook.

I think your mind control method is a little glitched, Mr. Moarte.
I ended up buying The revolution of the mask. :)

I'm reminded of Bruce Timm in terms of the character designs but suffice to say, Horrorwood looks and sounds fun so I'll pick it up when I see it. Why not? :)

It seems like my type of story anyway,

Damn I'm getting a good list of potential pick ups from this series. It's always nice to see some new stuff that's a little more underground and a lot of these Horror comics fit the bill.

I'm also enjoying Morte, he's got this great cryptkeeper vibe... with less puns of course.

By any chance is Moarte going to be a recurring character on AT4W, or at the very least brought up for a joke or two on the show when it's appropriate?

I shall obey Moarte...*buys comic*

Oh I really want this one! (am in so much trouble since it's only the 6th with needing to hunt for things but do not care.:)

I loved watching the old horror movies with my dad. Ironically I've only seen Creature from the Black Lagoon more recently but was so impressed with both the stunt actor for the creature for the underwater scenes (he didn't have any breathing apparatus because the director surmised a creature breathing under water wouldn't make air bubbles, fish don't) and just the way the movie played out.

This one is so right up my alley as I don't mind gore most times, I dislike movies that are scary only because of how grossed out we are or the mindless application of pain and torture with no real motive given behind it.

Having so much fun with this review series.

Do you think you can tell me what the creative process for coming up with the character of Moarte was?

It's interesting how in some of these videos you give away the ending and in others you do not... Some of them feel more like you're retelling the story (especially the Zorro one), and in others it feels like you're giving more of the info you'd see in a written review in a newspaper like this one.

Both work quite well, by the way so I'm not complaining I'm just wondering how you decide if you're going to tell the whole story or if you're going to focus more on the atmosphere and such?

Also a question about Moarte, assuming he exists in the AT4W universe... is he an exception to the Magic can't be used for evil rule you recently established? I suppose he could be from another universe, or demonic... I mean we haven't see him use any overt magic but he is the guardian of a cursed object.

Also I agree with the people who thought the dad looks like Bruce Timm's Jim Gordon... I think the Batman TAS feel really works for the book since that show had a dark feel quite often.

I'm going to pick this one up for sure.

Oh, Moarte, you silly undead fellow, you, assuming I actually have a mind to control...

Then again, this does sound like an interesting book to check out, just for fun. Maybe I /should/ go looking for it...

Wow I think this one does fit me and the art style is very DC animated universe style!

Sorry for the multiple comments tonight, but I'm catching up. :)

Ah, so many comics to read, so little time. That's good though. I'll never run out of anything to read. That would be true horror, much like in the Twilight Zone, Time Enough At Last episode. That poor, poor man...

Hooray! Chaney! Lon Chaney, right? :D I was a little disappointed that I didn't see Charles Laughton's name under any of those wax masks. Although there were some whose names I couldn't see. Was Laughton's name in there?

Yes master @_@

I wouldn't be surprised if he can actually do that. Then again the review of "New Teen Titans #13" (my all time favorite episode,by the way) might suggests that he's just probably crazy ,but that's my analyzation
