I like the idea of the poor kid seeing & communicating with Dracula via the mirror, makes me wonder if he could grab him or take direct control of him through it.
Hearing the music from Horror of Dracula and Dracula Has Risen from the Grave totally makes this my favorite episode of this year's videos. Never underestimate the alluring prescence of Christopher Lee!
One thing I'll mention is that I'm interested in the new Dracula series on NBC this Friday night. Hope it makes the name cool again.
And that's another title for the list.
I'm surprised you didn't use Swan Lake for this one too. Anyway, I really do live the idea and it sounds and looks great. The art style fits and it has a lot of interesting ideas.
speaking of ancestors, if you'r family comes from Eurasia, there's a pretty huge chance that you descended from Genghis Khan
that man had his way with pretty much half the world
what a guy!
I always love reading new interpretations of the Dracula legend. This looks like it would be right up my alley.
This is weird. Halloween is coming in eight days ,but I spent all my "horrorific energy" during the summer. Heck, I've only seen a few episodes of this year's Longbox either because I'm disinterested or want to save for later, when I'm in a different mindset!
Though I'm planning on changing that with a classic horror movie marathon on Friday.
O.K that was interesting. Might get that one.
I'm glad I watched this episode, pretty good stuff.
Thought at the beginning, I was like "Thank you, Captain Obvious".
Also I notice that one of the four sons looks like he was modeled after Dwight Frye.
Final thoughts: Still a better pretty boy vampire story than Twilight (or should I say "bishōnen" seeing how this is a manga)
This seems like a story that could really work with the right art, but this manga style just kills it for me. The anime style is too soft(?) for it to be scary or creepy.
Maybe it is the lack of color, without red to highlight gore, or blue to illustrate the transition from day to night it is just bland on top of nonthreatening. Maybe if it was more "Sin City" and less "Code Geass".
