Happy Halloween Linkara!

I'm celebrating by watching a Christopher Lee/Vincent Price marathon on TCM. Classiest actors of the genre.

I'll have to find a way to watch James Rolfe's commentary on Night of the Living Dead. Sometimes it's difficult to multitask.

Thanks for another great year for LOTD. Hope we'll see Moarte rise again next October.

Since you have asked, Lewis, if the next AT4W is not ready by monday, just do it in tuesday.

I'm glad that Longbox ends on an Army of Darkness story, but disappointed that there was no Ghostbusters title mentioned.

Yes, they were brought up in Infestation, but there are other Ghostbusters stories that could have been highlighted.

Yeah Freddy is messed up lol.

Noo the Long box is gone for another year. Well it was great while it lasted it.

Great ending by the way.

I actually do like this one even better than the first, and I really did like the first one. I'm not really a huge art critic and, even though there is a lot of silliness going on, this comic really does deliver on an utterly "Holy shit how much stuff are you going to throw at us" kind of level.
That, and it was phenominal to see that plethora of slasher survivers team up with Ash Fuckin Williams.
Until next year good Moarte, until next year.

good year

by the way, for next year, you should check out the new Sandman

Got to wonder how good it actually is. The plot requires these people to actually want to come together to deliberately confront monsters when their defining characteristic was surviving and escaping monsters, it kills off a female character (from what I can tell) just to make Ash angry and from what we're seeing here it looks like a good deal of the art for the female characters is just cheesecake material.

Maybe there's a lot more that I'm not seeing that makes it better or that undoes some of my criticisms. I don't know. From what I HAVE seen, I just think that it doesn't seem good.

Happy Halloween to all of you guys of Atop the Fourth Wall!

Oh, and before I forget--
Take care Moarte! Don't be a stranger!

I know Moarte's relatively new, this year being his second appearance, but... I miss him whenever he leaves. He has such an energy to him that makes each day in October really fun. I know it's a lot of work for you to do the LOTD, but I think it definitely pays off.

Happy Halloween! This Longbox is just as good as last year's even if I saw this coming from a mile away.

Happy Halloween.
I didn't like this one as first one either. They bring characters from the movies just really kill them off. I wasn't imaging the weird stuff with krugers. Yuck!
Till next time morte!
Also I can understand about yomacon. Enjoy the con.

Well, I'll miss this show but there's always next year and I'll be waiting.

This particular comic, I know how it ends. Kind of sad to see Freddy lose but he is the bad guy. Still, at least it looks fun. I mean President Freddy for the win.

Happy Halloween, Linkara! *Freddy Krueger laugh*

My biggest problem with this mini-series was always how unnecessary Ash felt in it. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but this felt like someone had an idea for a Freddy vs. Jason story and then had to just shoehorn Ash into it. Tommy Jarvis came off more as the main hero in the book then anybody else.

Wow even in the comics Tommy Jarvis can't get away from Jason. Poor bastard......Ah well at least his actor got to hunt vampires for 3 movies.

Happy Halloween! And thank you for another great month of LOTD! I am always loving them!

And I'm really excited because you didn't feature the comic that I was thinking of donating to the Longbox. So just out of curiosity, did you have any further thoughts on if you were heading to MAGfest in January? You mentioned a few months ago possibly not going since they don't give you the same reimbursement as other cons when you're a guest. MAGfest is the only con you go to that I can get to and I've really loved your Live shows and other panels from MAGfest the past two years I've been going. So did you make a final decision about MAGfest yet?

Congratulations for another great run, Moarte. May you spend the next 11 months playing poker with Halloweenie. Or something. Whatever you do during that time I guess XD

Happy Halloween!

We bid you good night, father, for another year, or at least, a little while in case a mid-summers nightmare comes about.

We thank you for another month of terrifying tales.
