James Bond Jr #3
So our hero doesn't drink martinis, doesn't sleep around, doesn't wear a tuxedo, isn't a spy, doesn't have a license to kill, and has the generic puns any halfwit could come up with when quipping. So, yeah, he's just like James Bond - except in everything that makes James Bond James Bond.

Podcast and other notes
Hey all! Once again I have appeared on a shorter episode of Dumpster Tech where we talk about the Nook, Barnes and Noble's new e-book reader, and some other tech stuff that I'm in no way qualified to speak upon!
And you can find it here!
In other news:
-I sadly don't plan on making another brief text overview of the DC Holiday special like I did last year, mostly because the stories didn't really wow me like they did last year. Pretty good, but not that great.
-The Let's Play of Star Trek: Elite Force WILL continue, and as I've said I have all the footage, it's just I have to prioritize other videos first.
-Speaking of which, expect two more special videos in the next month - one for comic recommendations and another detailing the construction of the mystery prop I've been building.
-One last thing - if you'd like me or any other member of That Guy With the Glasses to come to a convention, you'll have to appeal to the people who run that convention. Not that we'd be against going of our volition or trying to organize a booth, but it's much easier for us if the convention people come to us directly and invite us. Subsequently, while I do plan on attending MicroCon 2010 in Minnesota, I don't plan on having a table. I'm saving that one for FallCon 2010.

Just a reminder to all to check out the TGWTG live show at 7 PM CST on Saturday, December 5th at That Guy With The Glasses.com!
While I sadly was unable to attend the show, there will be a Trailer premiering there and while it will eventually show here, as well, it does take some time for these things to arrive. ^_~
Please forward all inquiries to TGWTG, since I'm not the one hosting the show.

Reminders about contacting me
Hey once again, just wanted to make a little update on this front since it's been a while since I made a post about this:
First of all, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME ON SKYPE OR AIM OR MSN OR ETC. I use Skype for TGWTG-related business and frankly it's kind of weird to just have random fans contacting me. It's nothing personal, it's just I prefer to keep it for business use.
If you want to contact me, do so over private messages on forums or over e-mail. Which brings me to somethng else: contacting me over e-mail.
...yeah... that made sense as a sentence...
Anyway, the point being that while I will try to answer every e-mail sent to me, sometimes I'm very busy and just don't have time to answer questions about who I think would win in a fight or blah, blah, blah.
Another reason you may not get a response to me on e-mail is because you're using an e-mail service related to AOL or Comcast. I have no ill feelings whatsoever with either of those services, but sadly they seem to have a problem with my e-mail server, and subsequently any time I try to respond to messages from them they get rejected and never reach their destination. That just happened with two people contacting me about donations and I am always interested in receiving donations. As such, it's best to send me e-mails through other e-mail servers, particularly Hotmail or Gmail.
Otherwise I have the Blog set so that I have to approve every comment made which means I see every comment posted, so if you want to try to say something to me, feel free to comment. Unless it's some sort of spam advertisement, I don't reject any statement. Even if it was some sort of racial slur I'd let it through, but mostly just so that everyone can point and laugh at the racist person.
Also, in case you hadn't noticed, there is now a Twitter on the lower right side of the page. While I don't post hourly updates, I'll usually put something on there at least once a day, be it show-related or just something random.
Also I do not have a facebook nor will I ever have a facebook.
And one last thing - I'll give a bigger push to this soon but just as a little hint for something that's to come, check out this happy little blog run by an awesome person who makes props, dolls, and cosplay materials.

Okie dokie, I've got a couple of things for you all... First and foremost:
Superman 4 Commentary
Just how did this epic crossover occur? Find out!
Podcast Interview Number... Uhh... I've lost track.
Moonhawk Studios did a podcast interview with me a few weeks ago (yeah, I'm behind on a couple of things) and you can find it HERE!
Just scroll down to "Season 02, Episode 03" to hear us discuss Lightbringer, Revolution of the Mask, and of course the thing that actually made me popular. Though just FYI, the first ten minutes or so are them filling in stuff for their previous podcast, so just be patient!
New episodes
Alrighty, doing it a teensy bit early since I don't want to make another Odds and Ends post in just two more weeks, but I'm also going all the way through February!
12/7 – The Dark Knight Strikes Again Part 1

12/21 – James Bond, Jr. #3

Mechakara
As I've said on message boards, forums, and other places, the Mechakara subplot will be resolved in February. In the meantime, I think you guys should start working on who he is and what he wants!
Every appearance he's made gives a clue or a hint as to his identity, his motivations, or his goals, so here's the list of appearances/Hints:

Help Support Masterthecreater!
It seems popular internet celebrity LittleKuriboh thinks he's sooo much better than me by posting about commissions for my title card artist Masterthecreater! Oh, but it gets better - he even has the gall to tell people to watch my show!
THAT BASTARD!
Alright, Fourthers... wait, do we have a cool name for my fans? You know, like how Doctor Who fans are "Whovians" and Firefly fans are "Brown Coats?" We need a name for us.
Anyway, to be declared fans of the show, here's how you can sock it to him! First, go and see if you can help contribute to Masterthecreater's goal of getting to America by getting some commission art here: His DeviantArt account!
Also, go and check out LittleKuriboh's videos, particularly Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged! That way he'll know who truly wins the internet!
Also: new episode on Monday and I'll also post up a podcast interview and some video footage Angry Joe did for Youmacon!

FallCon Photos
Well, I had a great time at FallCon two days ago, especially since I actually had a table! I sold several of the comics I've reviewed at cover price along with a signature on them, including Adventures of the Kool-Aid Man, Silent Hill: Dying Inside #1 and 2, and Batman: Fortunate Son.
I met some wonderful fans of the videos and hopefully made some new ones! So click on "Read More" to see some awesome people who visited the table and some other goodies.
Seated beside me is Marcus Almund, writer of the awesome independent comic Razor Kid!
I met this awesome girl several months ago at MicroCon with a similar hat. It is made of pure win, since she can actually fit her whole head in it. She also got my copy of US-1 #1.
This would be S.P. Burke, artist and creator of Oh Goodie! and he gave me a print of Alan Moore. He is awesomesauce.
This is the very nice woman who bought the copy of Batman: Fortunate Son from me at its ridiculous price of $15. In order to sweeten the deal, I went and got Gene Ha's signature inside of it, as well (no, I did not tell him that I had made fun of the way Batman and Robin looked in it. Please don't tell him). If I remember correctly, she also bought one of the T-shirts (more on that down father).
And here is continually awesome writer and inker Keith Champagne, who I've known through both his Blog AND his frequent appearances at Minnesota conventions. Obviously he was tired by the fact that IT HAD SNOWED. IN OCTOBER. He's also currently producing the very well-written and intriguing superhero maxiseries "The Mighty" and you can find more about him at his blog.
There was a Linkara cosplayer.
THERE WAS SOMEONE COSPLAYING AS ME. I have reached true celebrity status. XD
This awesometastic ninja lady not only purchased the Ninja-Style Dancer T-shirt but also has made fanart of me! You can find the art shown here at her DeviantArt Page, but as you can see, she's made one of me and my bear (I love the way she's drawn him. CUTE!) as well as Spoony and I singing "He tried to kill me with a forklift."
EDIT: This gentleman, named Kyle, posted in the comments who he was, so he has now been identified! He was nice enough to purchase Captain Planet, Star Trek, and NFL Superpro. A friend of his got his hands on Adventures of the Kool-Aide Man and a the Uncanny X-Men issues I'd reviewed. Good on them!
Big apologies to this gentleman because I can't remember his name or what he bought (well, aside from the "I am a Man!" shirt). Still, big props to him for coming out and supporting both comics as well as myself, so kudos, sir!
Alrighty, now about the T-shirts. Yes - t-shirts will be made available, but currently I'm not publically announcing the shirts quite yet. Why? I'm waiting off until the store for ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com opens, but as soon as it does, shirts will be made available. The ones I had at the convention were the samples I had gotten from Printfection to make sure they printed right and I only had one of each. The "I am a Man!" shirts, however, are being done via TGWTG and Mike Michaud was nice enough to give me a few in different sizes that I was able to sell at the convention.
Otherwise, coming up expect shirts for:
-"Bees, My God."
-"Youngblood's Disease Foundation"
-"Punk is nothing but death and crime and the rage of a beast!"
-"Ninja-Style Dancers" (Shown above)
-"POLLO LIVES!"
In any case, that's all for now! Thanks for watching the videos, thanks for supporting me, and thanks to those who saw me at the convention!
Speaking of, a special thank you to the Midwest Comic Book Association for putting on an awesome convention!

Looking for Donations...
...Or rather paid-for donations.
See, the thing is I have some big plans coming up over the next several months and subsequently I like to have stuff ready ahead of time, sometimes just a month in advance and sometimes several months in advance.
As such, there are two items lately that have become rather difficult to locate.
The first is the infamous Doom Comic.
Yes, I do plan on making a review of it, but for the life of me I can't find it. And yes, I know there's a copy completely online, but I want the actual physical thing to hold during the review. My usual source sadly has had trouble finding it, but if one of my fans has a copy and would be willing to part with it, I'd be willing to compensate them via PayPal.
EDIT: A fan has graciously donated his morpher and I have received it. Thanks, Richard!
Otherwise, new episode will be up later today and the list of upcoming episodes will be out tomorrow night!

Convention Appearances!
Hey, people!
Just wanted to give you guys about a month's worth of heads-up. First of all, I shall be making some convention appearances come October!
First up:
FALLCON 2009: OCTOBER 10TH AND 11TH
I've been attending FallCon as a patron for a few years now am happy to finally get to be there with a Table! I'll be there with a printed copy of Revolution of the Mask for people to take a gander at, (hopefully) a video monitor to play Atop the Fourth Wall episodes (maybe even a sneak preview of the episode for that coming week), comics I've reviewed that I'll be happy to sign and sell, as well as T-shirts and random toys that I've owned that I want to get rid of (which I'll also sign for free if purchased).
Next:
YOUMACON 2009: OCTOBER 29TH - NOVEMBER 1ST
If you check the guest list, you won't see me there, mostly because there was an error at first - they accidentally put me under Team FourStar's banner (not that I wouldn't be proud to be a part of that group of awesome, but I'm just not a part of them) and when Mike Michaud corrected them, they just didn't add me into the normal Guest List.
Still, I will be there probably with similar trappings (though probably less t-shirts, toys, and videos playing), but hey, I'll be there and so will The Nostalgia Critic! Hopefully his voice will not be dead like the last time I went to see him and you can chat with him, too!
So I'll hopefully be seeing you in October!
EDIT: Let me clarify - I won't be SELLING copies of Revolution of the Mask; I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to do that. ^_~ Just in case you want to take a look before buying, there you go.

I Be Published Again!
Well, kinda-sorta. ^_~
Let me explain - a year or two ago, before I started the show, I was looking for indy publishers, in particular anthology stuff, in the hopes of building up some resume fodder to eventually make into the big leagues. Now from that have been two anthologies that STILL have yet to see publishing (one a Vampire story I need to send another e-mail about, the other I doubt will ever see the light of day), but another is a prose story I did for the Hamtramck Idea Men.
If-X Volume 2 #2 is now available for purchase, and it features a prose story I wrote a while back. Not my best work, but might be good for some chuckles for those interested. ^_~
You can find it here: IF-X #2!

Contacting Me
Numerous people have been trying to contact me over Skype or asking me for Twitter information, so let me clear some stuff up:
PLEASE do not try to contact me over Skype. Not that I don't like talking to fans, but I use Skype to contact other content producers on TGWTG and I don't appreciated random people wanting to talk to me. If you want to talk to me, please just shoot me an e-mail. I usually respond (though AOL and Comcast seem to have issues with my e-mail server) and I'm more than happy to read what you have to say there.
Now, as for Twitter. Yes, I have a Twitter, but I don't use it. I signed up so I could message someone over it. That being said, the "at4w" account is not mine. I'm not sure who set it up, but whoever did it I'd appreciate it if they closed it, since I don't appreciate people impersonating me. That's it! Revolution of the Mask Issue 2 coming soon!

So What Happens Next?
A common criticism I often hear from people who don't like comic books is "Nothing ever really changes" or "there is no conclusion." It's at that point I just kind of stare confusedly at them since that's exactly why I love comics!
Consider for a moment any television show that you feel was canceled before its time or before there was a satisfactory conclusion. Don't you just want to know what happened next? Where the stories went to? If two characters got together in the end? If someone died? If someone ascended to another plane of existence or something? I certainly have. But the beautiful thing about comic books is that there's always something NEXT.
Will Marvel ever allow Peter Parker to grow old? Probably not. But there's always another story to tell. I do not accept the idea that "every story has been told." It's a matter of the details that count, the dialogue spoken, and the actual situations the characters go through. While I don't buy Amazing Spider-Man because of a certain story element that I've gone on and on about, I am fairly certain that at some point in the future that Peter and Mary Jane will get back together again. And it's the how that fascinates me and the anticipation of it that gets me to check out the book in the shop on occasion or in trade (even if I never buy the thing).
And the criticism of comics is particularly confusing when you consider how much of entertainment today is built on the idea of sequels and a continuing story. Would sequels be as popular as they are if there wasn't a market for a continuing story? Hell, I'm interested in what happens next in Watchmen, for crying out loud, even if I know the chances of a sequel are one in fifty gazillion.
It's why I get so upset when characters are killed. Does this mean their story is over? Their struggles ultimately pointless? Will they come back? And let's be fair, people, even though it's been said that everyone's died at least once, not every character is so fortunate to return to the land of the living in comics.
J. Michael Straczynski, when writing Babylon 5, showed a vision of the future where two main characters died at each other's hands. A few people were upset and complained to him, "But now we know how it's going to end!" His response stopped the complaints when he said, "Well yeah, but how did they get to that point?" I love to make trailers for upcoming stuff for Atop the Fourth Wall, to give hints and to talk to other people about what I plan to do, because I'd like to think people are excited as I am about what happens next.
Subsequently, this is why I tend to dislike prequels. I don't care about what happened before; we know the details well enough, and adding in "shocking new revelations" just makes continuity issues abound. Tell us what happens NEXT, not what's already happened.
It's been said that people want to relate to characters in fiction. Well, I may believe in happily ever after, but that doesn't mean the story itself is over. People may die or move on, but the story itself still goes on, albeit from other people's perspectives. We always eagerly anticipate the next chapter of our lives, to look ahead and think, "What happens next?" We crave the continuation, the next story, the next great event that will challenge us or our heroes and see how they overcome to it.
I love comics because I know that somehow, somewhere, there's always something that's next... most of the time, anyway.

Longbox - A Solution for Digital Comics?
Well, there's apparently a new system in the works, an iTunes-style system for reading and downloading digital comics coming called Longbox. The panel that goes into discussing it is located here.
It looks pretty ambitious, but some of the devices they're proposing to use this thing for in the future have got me scratching my head. While I'm perfectly happy to read comics on my computer screen, where there's space, why would anyone want to read a comic on their Nintendo DS or an iPhone? Basically that means you can't see the entire page unless you zoom out, in which case you can't read the text.
Furthermore I have to roll my eyes when they call iTunes better than winamp, since I find iTunes to be a piece of crap that I refuse to install on my computer and much prefer the simple interface of winamp.
Also I still have to sigh that they're this worried about piracy when the piracy's still going to happen. Just buy the license for the CDisplay comic reader that everyone's using already and distribute comics for it - the CBR and CBZ format is already out there and people aren't going to necessarily stop using it, though I like the idea that Longbox could have creator commentary on comics.
We'll see how this goes, though it should be noted that only two companies seem to have signed on for this thing right now. We'll know it's bigger when we see DC and Marvel on the table.

Odds and Ends
Some more various odds and ends for people!
First and foremost:
Let's Play Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force
I'm premiering a new series since I've always wanted to try my hands at a Let's Play, so let's see what people think of it!
In this mission, we wonder why Apple hasn't sued Star Trek over the iMod.
EDITED TO ADD:
Sooo, Episode 2 is going up tonight on That Guy With the Glasses as well, so here's a bonus for people who come back - episode 2! Witness the most arduous and intense mission for Ensign Munroe yet - PUSHING A BUTTON!
Lightbringer Returns!
Lightbringer, that webcomic that I was poorly drawing for two and a half years, will be resuming tomorrow! So now's the perfect opportunity to see my initial poor writing and drawing, my improved writing and slightly-improved art, before we head into two guest pages and new artist Chad Rocco!
Different theme song?
Well, I've gotten more than a few complaints from people saying that they prefer the cleaned up version of the theme song that new theme song composer Vincent E.L. has on his website. Now, I'd like to think I listen to my fans and their opinions, so I'm willing to use the other version if that's what the majority of you want.
As for why I'm using the current version, more or less I like the grainier quality since it sounds more like an old west gunslinger ballad than the other version, but like I said, I can understand why others would prefer the cleaned-up one. So, what do you all think?

Secret Defenders #10
You'd think a comic about an alien cyborg woman trying to nuke Saturn's moon while a cosmic surfer, an armored war machine, and a man wielding norse weaponry try to stop her would be far less dull than this is.

Updates!
Schedule
Well, let's get the stuff out of the way that you want to know. Here's the schedule for upcoming episodes for the next several weeks:
6/8 – Secret Defenders #9
6/15 – Secret Defenders #10
6/22 – Superman vs. the Terminator #1
6/29 – Countdown Prologue
7/6 – Countdown Part 1
7/13 – Countdown Part 2
7/20 – Top 15 Worst Moments of Countdown
7/27 – Xena #1
Revolution of the Mask Update
And that update is... THAT IT'S COMING! When? When it's done. XD Like I've said, I have the first half of the next issue all ready, but Leo of course has other commitments and a personal life that take precedence. As such, all I can guarantee is that it will indeed be coming soon.
Lightbringer Update
Better news on the webcomic front. The good Chad Rocco has completed the last page needed for updates to resume on Lightbringer. Now all I need to do is letter the things and updates will resume! Also I want to wait for Project Overcross to finish so readers won't be confused by an update on wednesday and then on thursday. XD
MY FANS KICK ASS!
I just want to give a big shout-out to all the fans who have been sending me donations lately. I really appreciate how you dump this garbage on me instead of dealing with it yourself.
Oh, but I kid, just thanks so much, people! My fans kick ass and take names!
Theme Song Contest
Delayed indefinitely.
KIDDING! The contest is running smoothly and a winner will be announced on June 11th in a special video. Thanks so much to all the talented, awesome people who have entered so far!
Continue the awesomeness, peeps!
EDIT:

OH! I almost forgot! Enjoy my commentary for the Warrior #1 review. ^_~ Please forgive the crappy mic.
